Why I chose One & Only Hair in Gwacheon for a root touch-up before my trip

I got my roots dyed and my hair cut at One & Only Hair Gwacheon Government Complex Station before going on a trip. It was my second visit to a salon in just two months, so I ran over for a neat root touch-up + cut. This time at the Gwacheon Government Complex Station salon!!!! For some reason I always feel so calm whenever I go to Gwacheon...

I went after lunch and they even served me a yummy brunch, so good. My designer did my hair~ and of course it was a huge success. One & Only Hair runs on a 1:1 designer system, so one stylist does everything from start to finish. That makes it easier to trust, right?

Where is One & Only Hair Gwacheon Government Complex Station?

The salon is on the B1 floor of the Gwacheon Cheongsa Station Hanyang Xi Design Officetel, 15 Byeolyangsanggga 1-ro, Gwacheon-si, Gyeonggi, South Korea. It's seriously right by Government Complex Gwacheon Station, one minute on foot!

Inside the One & Only Hair salon

The salon is clean and roomy, maybe because the building is new. I came down to the B1 floor and it's spotless... everything is brand new! Even the bathroom is clean, and the inside is so spacious and comfortable that my mood instantly lifted >_< ♥ I never knew a Gwacheon Station hair salon like this existed. A hidden hair gem, maybe? La la la, I'm just in a good mood, that's all.

My hair two months after a full dye, and the consultation

This is the before, right before my hair appointment. I had a full dye last time and look how much it has already grown out... It's actually a bit short of two months, but can hair really get this messy? Root touch-ups are such a chore, but they make you look put together, so there's no way I can skip them.

And! I only wanted the cut trimmed very slightly, but my designer said she'd assess the current state and cut it nicely. So I decided to trust her and go along~

Off to the root dye we go, hehe. So excited to be at this Gwacheon Station hair salon!

Drinks and brunch-style snacks at One & Only Hair

At One & Only Hair, when you pick a drink, toasted bread, jam and cookies come with it. I shouted iced Americano without thinking, and what comes out is a kind of brunch?! Wow... the bread is toasted, there's even jam.. so cute haha. And cookies too.. it felt like being at a café, which I loved. Nom nom... it was delicious.

How long do a root touch-up and cut take?

The root dye plus the layered cut tidy-up took about 1 hour 30 minutes~~ And finally, it's done!!!!

Layered cut tidy-up: heavier at the ends, lighter on top

My hair was already in a layered cut, but it felt light at the bottom and heavy on top, so she reworked it to be heavier at the bottom and lighter on top >,< She also cut my face-framing strands and side bangs and I was very happy with them.

Now I just have to take good care of my hair quality,, haha. I wondered whether to add more layers or not, but I thought I couldn't handle more, so I kept the length and only trimmed a little.

Why root volume matters for this style

My designer said this style looks very different with and without root volume, so I plan to keep my roots lifted from now on,, though I work all the time and almost never blow-dry,,,, haha. Next time I should go for a root perm!!!!

Root touch-up result: did it blend with my existing color?

The root dye I got at One & Only Hair blended naturally with the previously dyed part. So pretty. The cut was a success this time too. I love how naturally the roots connect. No more dyeing for a while,, let's leave my hair alone until December.

So neat. See why I can't skip a root touch-up ★ I was worried it would come out too bright, but it blended perfectly. Pretty!

Anyway, hair success at the Gwacheon Station salon ♥ hehe,, you know that feeling where after a hair appointment you feel like you have to make plans even if you have none? That was me that day! So I took a few selfies for the first time in a while and played dress-up.
