Daedong Korean Buffet & Dosirak in Yongin, visited with the kids
We were in Yongin with the kids and wanted a filling lunch, so we headed to
Daedong Korean Buffet in Yongin
We went during lunch peak hours, so I was worried about parking and waiting, but the place is pretty spacious, so we parked right away and didn't have to wait to eat. Best of all, the menu was so varied — from soups to side dishes, noodles, ramen, and desserts — that it felt more like a premium Korean buffet than an average one. Out of the Korean buffets we've tried with the kids in Yongin, this one was really satisfying 😊
Where Daedong Korean Buffet is in Yongin — a lunch stop on the way to Everland
Daedong Korean Buffet & Dosirak is located in Yangji-myeon (Yangji-eup), Cheoin-gu, Yongin, so it works well as a meal stop when heading that way! It's especially worth adding to your plans if you're headed toward Everland or Caribbean Bay for a day out nearby.

Easy parking and seating even during lunch peak
We visited during lunch peak hours and still got a parking spot right away. The inside is fairly spacious too, so even though it was a busy time, we got seated and started eating without any wait! Parking and wait times are always a bit of a worry when eating out with kids, but this place made things easy from the start, so it worked well for a family visit. If you're looking for a good buffet restaurant in Yangji-myeon, Cheoin-gu, and care about parking and space as much as the food, this is worth keeping in mind 👍

Why it worked well with kids — baby chairs and kids' dishware
What I liked about visiting with the kids was that baby chairs and kids' dishware were ready, making it easy to bring a preschooler along, and there was enough variety on the menu to work for early elementary kids too. When you go to a Korean buffet with kids, how many dishes they can actually eat really matters — and my kids liked the food so much they went back for seconds on their own without me asking. 👍

What's on the menu — mukbap, janchi-guksu, even self-serve ramen
Daedong Korean Buffet isn't just rice with a few side dishes — the range of choices was pretty wide. When I visited, they had
- 2 types of soup
- Mukbap (bean jelly noodle soup)
- Janchi-guksu (feast noodles)
- 7+ side dishes
- Self-serve ramen
- Snacks
- Dessert
- Sikhye (sweet rice drink)
all set out. You could fill up on warm rice and side dishes, add noodles or mukbap in between, and finish with dessert and sikhye. There was even self-serve ramen you cook yourself, which made choosing your own meal part of the fun! Personally, it felt closer to a premium Korean buffet with a wider range of choices than a typical one.

Taste review
Overall the food tasted good, and since it's all Korean dishes, it was easy for the whole family to eat together. The kids liked it enough to go back for refills, and with everything from side dishes to noodles to dessert to choose from, it was a satisfying, filling meal!

Dosirak and catering also available
Daedong Korean Buffet isn't just for eating in — they also offer dosirak (boxed meals) and catering! If you need to arrange meals for a group or an event, they said dosirak or catering are both options. Worth looking into if you need a Korean-style boxed meal or catering in Yongin 👍

What worked / what didn't
There wasn't really anything that bothered us during our visit — the one thing to check before you go is that the operating hours are on the shorter side!

Why we'd go back
This visit showed us there was plenty for the kids to eat, and no real wait from parking to eating made everything easy. As a parent, the fact that the kids ate well was honestly the most satisfying part! Next time we're out near Everland or Caribbean Bay in the Yongin area, this is somewhere we'd want to stop for lunch again. 😊
