The inner alley in Sinbu-dong where Napoli Shinbu is, and its parking situation

We were lucky enough to park both my car and my sibling's right near the restaurant, but I think that was only possible because it was a weekday opening run. On weekends or at mealtimes, parking near Shinsegae Department Store and walking over seemed like a fine option, since the distance was manageable.

What is the atmosphere like at Napoli Shinbu?

The exterior felt like a European-style restaurant hiding in a neighborhood alley. Not a flashy franchise, but more of a craftsman feel, with the owner focused on the food himself!?

There was a chalkboard with the menu in front of the entrance, which made me even more excited. The inside wasn't big, but the atmosphere was lovely.

There are window seats and tables that fit several people, so it looked good not just for dates but also for get-togethers with friends or family meals.

There are baby chairs too, so that's worth knowing if you're coming with a little one.

The tables were already set with cutlery and plates, and you could just sit wherever you liked. Since we came at opening time, it was quiet, which was perfect for taking photos and choosing what to order.

How does the burrata pizza at Napoli Shinbu taste?

The burrata pizza at Napoli Shinbu is a wood-fired pizza with a big burrata cheese in the center, generously topped with arugula, basil pesto and tomato. The burrata pizza was overwhelming just to look at.

A big burrata sits in the middle, and the arugula, basil pesto and tomato toppings were really generous. The chewy wood-fired dough and slightly charred edges were exactly my style. I split the burrata open and ate it together with the arugula and basil pesto, and it was rich yet fresh.

It's not just a heavy, greasy pizza. The fragrant herbs and the softness of the cheese come up together, so I kept reaching for another slice!! I get now why people searching for a good Cheonan wood-fired pizza place like this style.

I think the pickles are homemade too!! They had olives in them and were so delicious!!

How was the gamberi oil pasta at Napoli Shinbu?

The gamberi oil pasta at Napoli Shinbu (₩16,000) is said to come with Argentine red shrimp and artichoke, and it was better than I expected.

It definitely had a richer aroma than the oil pasta I usually eat.

The garlic aroma and the savory depth of the seafood blended well, and it even felt a little like pasta you'd eat while traveling abroad.

I especially liked that the shrimp were prepped so they were easy to peel. I thought the shells would be a hassle, but with them made easy to eat, the meal never lost its flow. The noodles weren't overcooked, just right, and the oil sauce wasn't too heavy, so it also went well with the pizza.

San Pellegrino lemon! Plain water felt like a bit of a letdown, so I think ordering it was a good call. Haha.

Is one pizza and one pasta enough for two people?

One pizza and one pasta for two at Napoli Shinbu was quite filling. It was so good, but I was full and left a little pizza and pasta behind, which I regret now. As I write this, I keep thinking about that last bite I left.

Napoli Shinbu: final verdict on this Cheonan pizzeria

Overall, Napoli Shinbu is a good place in Sinbu-dong when you want to quietly enjoy Western food in a nice atmosphere. If you like generously topped wood-fired pizza like the burrata pizza, or pasta with lively seafood aroma like the gamberi oil pasta, I think you'll be satisfied.

If I go again, I'd order the burrata pizza again!! We just casually did an opening run with my sibling, but it turned out to be a Cheonan wood-fired pizza place that stayed in my memory longer than I expected.
