Geobugi Dongne (거북이동네) Busan Namcheon Branch is a pork barbecue restaurant in Suyeong, Busan. My companion and I shared the 500 g jjolmyeon-ogyeopsal set, which was enough for a full meal, and we liked the varied self-service side dishes. My companion and I went to Geobugi Dongne (거북이동네) Busan Namcheon Branch. We ordered the 500 g jjolmyeon-ogyeopsal set, and the meat and jjolmyeon (spicy chewy noodles) were enough for the two of us to have a full meal. I also remember being able to choose from a wide range of side dishes at the self-service bar.

Where is Geobugi Dongne Busan Namcheon Branch, and what about parking?

The restaurant is on the first floor at 414 Suyeong-ro, Suyeong-gu, Busan. At the time the original post was written, it was listed as open daily from 11:30 to 22:30, with last orders at 21:30. There is no on-site parking, so you need to use a nearby public parking lot.

The interior had wood-toned sofas and tables with warm lighting. It felt clean and spacious, with plenty of well-separated seating, so I thought it would be comfortable for a meal.

There were private rooms as well. They looked suitable for dining with your group at a company gathering or family event.

What is on the menu besides grilled meat?

In addition to grilled meat, there were shabu-shabu sets and jjageuli (spicy stew) sets. There were so many choices that it took us a while to decide.

There were clear-broth and spicy shabu-shabu options. The original post says, alongside the shabu-shabu description, that a ₩5,000 table fee is charged separately and orders start at 500 g. However, it is not clear which menu items the fee and minimum order apply to.

What side dishes are at the self-service bar?

Basic side dishes were self-serve from the bar. There was a wide selection to eat with the meat, including kimchi, ssammu (pickled radish wraps), dried shredded radish, pickled onions, bracken fern, and bean sprouts. When I visited, the self-service bar seemed to be kept clean.

There were several kinds of sauce, along with wrap vegetables such as lettuce and vegetables for shabu-shabu. We took only the side dishes we wanted back to our table.

Was the 500 g jjolmyeon-ogyeopsal set enough for two?

We ordered the 500 g jjolmyeon-ogyeopsal set. The meat that arrived first was thick-cut, and it was an appropriate amount for the two of us.

We cooked bracken fern and bean sprouts alongside the meat. Once the meat turned golden, my companion cut it into easy-to-eat pieces.

The meat had been aged for 14 days. For the first bite, I placed the meat on ssammu with coarse salt and ssamjang (seasoned soybean paste), and its juiciness whetted my appetite.

I also ate it as a wrap with fragrant perilla leaves. We moved the fully cooked meat to a raised rack so it would not burn.

Was the jjolmyeon in the set enough for a full meal?

The jjolmyeon arrived with various vegetables in a bowl as large as a basin. It was my first time seeing jjolmyeon served in such a large bowl, and the portion was impressive.

After mixing it well, the sauce was sweet and tangy, and the vegetables had a crisp bite. For us, it was enough to make a full meal without ordering naengmyeon (cold noodles) separately, so I thought the set was well composed.

What is available after the meal?

There was instant coffee beside the self-service bar and ice cream near the entrance. The owner was kind as well, which made the meal pleasant.
