Half-and-half broth shabu-shabu for three in Suwon: Sodamchon Jeongja

Sodamchon Suwon Jeongja Branch is a large Vietnamese spring roll shabu-shabu restaurant on the 4th floor of Gyeongseong Building in Jeongja-dong, Suwon, near Starfield Suwon. A phone reservation for three secured a half-open private table, and the 18,900 won spring roll shabu-shabu came with half-and-half broth and half-and-half meat, plus a self-serve salad bar and a free dessert bar. Stroller access by elevator was easy, and the vegetables and meat were good enough to call it a healthy meal out.

Hand-drip Ethiopia Momora at a Starfield Suwon café: Jeong Jiyeong

Jeong Jiyeong Coffee Roasters Starfield Suwon Branch is a roastery café on Gourmet Street, the second floor of Starfield Suwon in Gyeonggi. After smelling the bean samples on the counter, the writer ordered a hand-drip Ethiopia Momora G1 (7,500 won) and a grapefruit ade (6,500 won), and found the coffee carried both bright acidity and solid body. At Jeong Jiyeong Coffee Roasters, the hand-drip is the pick over the americano.
