Hand-drip Ethiopia Momora at a Starfield Suwon café: Jeong Jiyeong
In short
Jeong Jiyeong Coffee Roasters Starfield Suwon Branch is a roastery café on Gourmet Street, the second floor of Starfield Suwon in Gyeonggi. After smelling the bean samples on the counter, the writer ordered a hand-drip Ethiopia Momora G1 (7,500 won) and a grapefruit ade (6,500 won), and found the coffee carried both bright acidity and solid body. At Jeong Jiyeong Coffee Roasters, the hand-drip is the pick over the americano.

That famous 'Jeong Jiyeong Coffee Roasters' has a branch in Starfield!!! I used to go all the way to Haenggung-dong for this coffee, so being able to enjoy it so close and easy at Starfield makes me so happy~~

Where is Jeong Jiyeong Coffee Roasters Starfield Suwon Branch?
It's located on the 2nd floor Gourmet Street of Starfield Suwon.

Whenever I come to Starfield, I always grab a coffee to perk myself back up after shopping, and since I might as well drink something tastier, I stopped by Jeong Jiyeong Coffee Roasters.

There's seating so you can rest for a bit, which makes it easy to take a break mid-shopping. Even on a weekday visit there were quite a lot of customers — clearly already famous.

Choosing the Ethiopia beans after smelling the samples
I've personally been studying coffee pretty seriously lately, and true to being a café that runs its own roastery, Jeong Jiyeong Coffee had detailed explanations of the beans and even let you sample the aroma. I ordered the Ethiopian bean today and — oh... it's really delicious. If you want something refreshing and clean after a meal, I recommend the Ethiopia!!

Autumn fig desserts at Jeong Jiyeong Coffee Roasters
For dessert there were fig sandwiches, cakes, and even siru (steamed rice cake) made with the famous seasonal figs. In autumn I always make sure to eat sweet figs, and if I hadn't already had lunch I probably would've gotten the fig sando. I barely held back ㅠㅠ

What we ordered and what it cost
<<My order>>
- Hand-drip Ethiopia Momora G1 - ₩7,500
- Grapefruit ade - ₩6,500

I sampled the aroma of the bright, acidic Ethiopia Momora and loved it so much I ordered it!!! It's exciting to taste properly made coffee at a real coffee spot haha
<Signature menu>
- Coconut coffee - ₩7,000
- Organic ice cream - ₩5,500
I noticed a bit late, but a lot of people were ordering the signature coconut coffee and ice cream. I wish I'd known beforehand, ugh... guess I'll just have to come back again!

Being able to try so many different beans feels like the real charm of Jeong Jiyeong Coffee Roasters.

Free decaf swap for pregnant guests
I didn't know this, but apparently pregnant customers get a free decaf swap... I wish I'd come here more often when my wife was pregnant.

I discovered the signature menu items of Jeong Jiyeong Coffee Roasters after already ordering. Next time I'll definitely try these~~ The soft, nutty coconut coffee sounds really promising. While waiting for orders, a lot of people were just taking the ice cream to go, so it seems to be quite famous too.

Beans at 22,000 won per 200g, plus café goods
While waiting for my order I browsed the beans, and at ₩22,000 for 200g it's a pretty reasonable price. It's the same price as where I usually order regularly, so next time I might just buy Jeong Jiyeong's beans instead.

'No Coffee, No Workee.' Cute merch with that phrase — of everything, the hat caught my eye the most.

How does the hand-drip Ethiopia Momora taste?
I guess coffee really should be made by an expert. If you visit Jeong Jiyeong Coffee Roasters, I'd recommend trying the hand-drip instead of the americano!

The Ethiopia I ordered had a distinctive acidity backed by good body, the kind of coffee that's hard for anyone to dislike. The aftertaste left a sweetness that made the lingering finish even better.

A cute cup holder with a printed phrase haha. I think I'll be back every time I visit Starfield Suwon~~ Recharged on caffeine, I went right back to walking all around Starfield.
