Pangyo brunch in the final month of pregnancy, with my husband

We're a couple in the final month before our baby arrives, and we booked Meolmeol Pangyo ahead on Naver to spend some time just the two of us. Now that the due date is close, time without a child feels so precious! So we thought we'd make brunch a weekly thing. Everyone says Meolmeol in Pangyo is hot right now, right? So we reserved on Naver in advance.

What are Meolmeol Pangyo's interior and atmosphere like?

Meolmeol Pangyo feels trendy and hot from the entrance. Isn't the font itself so pretty? The accent color stood out too, and my eyes kept going back to it.

Iced Americano at Meolmeol Pangyo

First, we sipped our iced Americano. I don't really like acidic coffee, but the beans were nutty, so I liked it :)

Truffle baby potato fries at Meolmeol Pangyo

Are the truffle baby potato fries a must-order?

Meolmeol Pangyo's truffle baby potato fries (₩9,000) are a must-order. Ta-da! They came out first, ordered by my husband, and honestly I didn't expect much, since I figured I could already guess how fried baby potatoes taste (?).

But… seriously, if you come to Meolmeol, you have to order these. The crisply crushed and fried baby potatoes go so well with Meolmeol's special truffle cream sauce, and I swear the sauce was so good I wish they'd sell it..? Highly recommended!

Avocado chili egg open sandwich at Meolmeol Pangyo

What does the avocado chili egg open sandwich taste like?

Meolmeol Pangyo's avocado chili egg open sandwich (₩18,000) is an open sandwich made with guacamole, a sunny-side-up egg, chili oil, arugula and sourdough 🌿 Meolmeol's hidden real star! If you want some tang, I suggest squeezing lemon over it 🍋

Ah, this one was also so delicious, and even just one was filling enough. My husband said it's the best sandwich he's had lately 👍🏻

Grandma's lasagna at Meolmeol Pangyo

The signature Grandma's lasagna

Meolmeol Pangyo's signature Grandma's lasagna (₩23,000) layers pasta sheets with rich ragù and soft cheese in generous amounts. Drumroll - it was the last dish to arrive.

The nutty flavor of oven-browned cheese and the deep savoriness work together, making it a hearty meal, and you can taste the care of a sauce said to be simmered for over 4 hours ✨

Baguette served with the Grandma's lasagna

It's even better eaten with the baguette like this. It's such a shame they only give four slices of bread.

Free yuja bingsu at Meolmeol Pangyo

Free yuja bingsu and friendly staff

To finish, Meolmeol Pangyo gave us a refreshing yuja (citron) bingsu (shaved ice dessert) as a free treat 🍋✨ The staff were so, so kind and thoughtful, and we left happy with the food, the mood and the service 🤍

Closing photo of the brunch visit to Meolmeol Pangyo

With the due date coming up soon, we plan to enjoy brunch together every weekend, haha. Meolmeol is a place we want to visit again after the baby is born 💛 If you want Italian brunch in Pangyo, definitely give it a try!
