Stack Bakery milk tea

The milk tea was less sweet than I expected — rather than the milk's nuttiness or the black tea's aroma being intensely strong, the overall taste and scent felt more refined, I'd say? I'd call it a calm, sentimental milk tea. I found it quite charming and delicious.

Condensed milk latte

I expected the condensed milk latte to be really sweet, but the sweetness level wasn't that high after all. There was almost no acidity, just bitter, nutty deep coffee bean flavor with just the right amount of sweetness added. What stood out especially was a rich, creamy nuance that reminded me more of powdered milk than regular milk, which gave it a nice balance — rather than being just sweet, you could also enjoy the coffee's bitterness and nuttiness alongside it.

Angbutter salt bread (red bean and butter)

The angbutter salt bread was different from the typically soft salt bread.

The outside was crisp like a baguette, and with Maldon salt sprinkled on top, it had a salty yet mellow sweetness.

Inside, the texture of whole red bean paste was still alive, along with a thick slab of butter — sweet whole red beans and nutty butter

combined with the salty-sweet Maldon salt on the baguette-style salt bread made for a sweet-salty-nutty combination that felt quite luxurious.

Egg and cheese pastry

The egg and cheese pastry had an overall strong salty, buttery, nutty flavor. The rich cheese flavor was joined by a salty, savory note reminiscent of mayonnaise, and

with egg tucked in the middle, it felt less like eating bread and more like a hearty brunch dish.

What really stood out was the bottom of the pastry. The crisp, crumbly texture made me wonder just how much butter had to go in for it to bake up like that.

Tomato cheese pastry

The tomato cheese pastry had a nice harmony between the fresh, tangy aroma unique to roasted tomatoes and the salty, buttery, nutty flavor of the cheese.

Above all, the outside and bottom were baked crisp, so the contrast between the moist tomato and cheese and the crunchy pastry worked really well together.

Stack croissant

To me, the Stack croissant was where you could feel the basic craftsmanship of the bread the most.

The saltiness wasn't strong, and instead the nutty, deep flavor of the butter really came through. Especially when you cut into the outside, the shattering texture was really impressive.

By contrast, the inside kept its layered structure while being soft and airy-crisp, and that textural contrast made eating the bread a pleasure.
