Wedding-day café in Sutonggol, Daejeon: bridal waiting room at Luonto

Today I went to Luonto Sutonggol Branch in Yuseong-gu, Daejeon. It's a large café with three floors, and the outdoor space is really pretty — I heard small weddings are possible here too, so I was curious. The outdoor dome is beautifully set up, and apparently a lot of dol (first-birthday) parties happen here too.

What is Luonto Sutonggol, the large café in Sutonggol?

Luonto Sutonggol Branch is at 37 Sutonggol-ro 71beon-gil, Yuseong-gu, Daejeon. It's open from 9:00 AM to 9:30 PM, and there's a dedicated parking lot for the building, so parking was easy. I was surprised such a big café existed. The staff were friendly too, which made me feel good from the moment I ordered.

There was a wide variety of menu items to choose from. Chimney bread is the main item, but I was too full to order it... I heard Luonto's signature is chimney bread, so I'll be sure to try it next time. Looking at other blog reviews, it really looks chewy and delicious.

The 2nd-floor outdoor dome for small weddings

This is the outdoor dome on the 2nd floor where small weddings are possible. There are partitions set up, and the natural light was so good that photos taken here would probably come out beautifully. That day, a baby's dol photoshoot was happening. The weather was cloudy so the photos didn't turn out great, but on a sunny day this dome would be perfect to rent for a small wedding or dol party.

Check whether a wedding is booked before visiting Luonto

We visited around 1:30pm, and there was a wedding scheduled for 4pm. So we had to move our car by 2:30pm, and were told only the first floor would be usable after that. If you're visiting on a weekend, it's a good idea to check ahead whether there's a ceremony scheduled. There was also a separate bridal makeup room, filled with pretty artificial flowers.

Why the 2nd floor is Luonto's most popular space

The 2nd floor has the outdoor dome and outdoor space, so it felt like Luonto's main area. The interior also lets in plenty of sunlight through full glass windows, and there were tables for 2, 4, and groups. With the floor-to-ceiling windows out front, enjoying a coffee while taking in the view was really nice.

A pretty outdoor small wedding spot in Daejeon

The outdoor space isn't huge, but it's decorated so nicely that it would suit a small wedding well. There's a fountain, and the natural light was great too, so the atmosphere felt right for a wedding ceremony or a photoshoot. That said, outdoor space use may be restricted on days when a ceremony is scheduled. Small weddings are quite a trend these days, so I'd recommend this if you're interested.

There's a bridal waiting room too, decorated beautifully just like a real wedding hall. The flowers were artificial but so pretty it felt like they had a scent. The lighting was soft and lovely, and the chandelier up top completed the look. It really felt like a waiting room designed to make the bride stand out.

There's also a banquet hall with a large TV. Since it's an outdoor small wedding venue, it seems they can even do live broadcasting from inside. There was a toddler table too — nothing seemed to be missing, everything was fully equipped.

Nutty iced americano and yuja (citron) tea

I was enjoying it so much I forgot to take photos, but the iced americano was really nutty, and the yuzu tea wasn't artificially sweet — it had a genuinely healthy taste. I kept thinking about the yuja-cheong (yuzu marmalade) even after getting home.

The outdoor dome on the 2nd floor is decorated so beautifully that it seems like a great spot for anyone considering a dol party or small wedding. For venue rental inquiries, just call the café.
