Paju weekend-drive pork BBQ buffet & brisket stew: Minine Gogi Nakwon

In short

Minine Gogi Nakwon (민이네 고기낙원) is an all-you-can-eat pork and beef Korean BBQ restaurant on Beonyeong-ro in Paju, Gyeonggi. On a weekend drive, the writer and a partner arrived right at opening time, chose the all-you-can-eat pork option, and grilled thin pork belly, pork skirt and chicken neck, adding brisket doenjang (soybean paste) stew and rice. Minine Gogi Nakwon's thin pork belly cooks fast over strong heat, and the side dishes, especially the napa cabbage kimchi, were good enough to refill several times.

I really love meat, and I spend my weekends healing with a good BBQ meal. This weekend my partner and I took a trip to Paju and visited Minine Gogi Nakwon (민이네 고기낙원), a famous all-you-can-eat BBQ place there! I don't go to buffet BBQ places often, but I heard the meat quality is good and the side dishes are neatly prepared, so I gave it a try. The meat is good and the owner is kind, too.

Is parking easy at Minine Gogi Nakwon?

There is parking in front of the restaurant, with room for about 8 cars. I came by car, and Paju is a really great spot for a drive from Seoul. Everywhere I went had good parking, so I could park easily and eat in comfort.

Thanks to the parking in front, Minine Gogi Nakwon was easy to park at too. It fits about 8 cars, so keep that in mind, and if you come at peak hours, it might be a good idea to call the restaurant and ask about spots!

What are the interior and seating like?

The inside of Minine Gogi Nakwon was spacious and clean. I arrived right as it opened, and two groups were already eating, haha. As a famous all-you-can-eat spot in Paju, you could see people flocking in.

The tables are neatly set, and each chair has a space inside for belongings or a coat, which is great for keeping them from picking up the BBQ smell.

Really roomy overall, right? It seemed like a great place for group gatherings too.

Self-serve side dishes and sauces

Minine Gogi Nakwon had a really wide variety of side dishes and sauces to go with the meat, including pickled onions, scallion salad, kimchi, all-purpose seasoning and ssamjang (seasoned soybean paste). I liked being able to mix and match with the meat.

Pork buffet or beef buffet: which did we pick?

At Minine Gogi Nakwon you can choose between the all-you-can-eat pork and the all-you-can-eat beef. The pork buffet had a variety of meats such as chicken neck and toshisal (pork skirt meat), while the beef buffet was set up so you could enjoy lots of cuts like top blade. My partner and I picked the pork buffet!

The best meat was the thin pork belly

There are so many kinds of meat at Minine Gogi Nakwon, but the tastiest was the pork belly! It's cut thin, so it cooks quickly and is great for grabbing and gobbling up, haha.

Zero cola is a must, right~~?

You can take as many side dishes as you need. The lettuce for wraps was really fresh, and the napa cabbage kimchi was so good that I refilled just the kimchi several times, haha.

Staff set up the grill, and it cooks fast over strong heat

At Minine Gogi Nakwon the staff light the fire and set the grill plate for you. You grill things like skirt meat on the iron plate, and the pork belly goes on the grill too! The heat is strong, so everything cooks really fast. See how golden the pork belly got so quickly? I really love thin meat, so I was thrilled that they had it.

Put well-cooked meat on a lettuce leaf, add pickled onions and napa cabbage kimchi, and wow, how delicious is that, haha. Eating meat really is the biggest healing for me. Meat won't make you gain weight, because meat is protein!

How is the brisket doenjang stew at Minine Gogi Nakwon?

We also ordered the brisket doenjang jjigae (soybean paste stew) and rice at Minine Gogi Nakwon. It was packed with sooo much brisket, so I was very satisfied! The broth was deep and really tasty, haha.

Today at Minine Gogi Nakwon in Paju I enjoyed the all-you-can-eat pork and stuffed myself with a variety of meats, including skirt meat and chicken neck. If you love meat, I recommend eating at Minine Gogi Nakwon, with its good meat quality, when you visit Paju ♥
