Less greasy salt bread café in Yeongjongdo: Sora set, 5PM sunset hour
In short
5PM sunset hour is a salt bread bakery café on the ground floor of the KCC Switzen shopping block in Yeongjong Haneul City, Incheon. After finding the salt bread at Gueup Baetteo (구읍뱃터) too greasy, the writer followed a friend's tip, took home the Sora set (vanilla latte + salt bread, ₩6,500) and a ₩2,800 plain bagel, and found the 5PM sunset hour salt bread chewy, nutty and pleasantly salty. 5PM sunset hour is worth a stop on the way home from Yeongjongdo for salt bread lovers who find greasy versions too heavy.

Why 5PM sunset hour is my pick for salt bread in Yeongjongdo
If you're planning a summer-vacation trip or outing to Yeongjongdo, 5PM sunset hour is a café I'd happily call a true salt bread favorite. It's also a great place to pick up bread on your way home from the trip. The mornings and evenings have been breezy lately, and the sun is hot but the shade is cool, so it's lovely weather to be out and about.

Too greasy at Gueup Baetteo, so I tried 5PM sunset hour
Honestly, there's a famous salt bread place at Guupbaetteo (the old ferry pier), but it was way too greasy and not to my taste. I really love salt bread, so when I said Guupbaetteo wasn't for me, a friend told me this is the place for salt bread in Yeongjongdo and recommended 5PM sunset hour, so I went to try it.

How were the Sora set salt bread and plain bagel?
At 5PM sunset hour I got the Sora set (vanilla latte + salt bread) and a plain bagel to go.

A bag of freshly baked salt bread that smelled amazing from the start! On the way home I could hardly wait to eat it. The moment I got home, I took a bite with my coffee! It's chewy, nutty and salty, and so good. The vanilla latte was good too.

The plain bagel was big and soft, not too sweet, and so good. I hear the butter rice cake is good too, so I'll have to try that next time.
If you're a salt bread lover who likes it chewy, nutty and salty, definitely visit 5PM sunset hour, the salt bread spot in Yeongjongdo 🩷
