The moment I walked in, I was amazed by the sheer scale of the salon, around 60 pyeong.
There's a nice, spacious waiting area,
and the space is neatly divided into two different concepts, the ONLY FOR YOU Hair Zone and Design Zone.
Each designer has a private space of their own, so even at busy times the flow doesn't get tangled or crowded and you can get your treatment in a calm atmosphere. I really liked that layout!
How does the consultation prevent a line after a root dye?
Before the treatment, designer Yongbi at ONLY FOR YOU Hannam Main Branch checked the current condition of the hair and the color of the previously dyed lower hair, then chose the root color to match that tone. After being shown to my seat, I had a careful consultation with Yongbi, the root dye specialist who would transform my hair.
A root dye looks easy, but it's tricky: one slip and a line forms against the existing hair, leaving a band. Yongbi looked very carefully at my hair's current condition and the color of the dyed hair below, and said they'd match the tone exactly, which gave me a lot of confidence!
The root dye process, from scalp protector to sectioned application
At ONLY FOR YOU Hannam Main Branch, scalp protector was applied thoroughly before any dye went on. Before the dyeing started, they applied it into every corner so my scalp wouldn't get irritated. They said they only use gentle, good ingredients, keeping in mind that chemicals are touching your skin, and sure enough there was zero stinging or itching the whole time.
They even put clear ear-cap covers on so no dye got on my ears, such a thoughtful touch! Yongbi divided my hair into tight sections and applied the dye very precisely so it wouldn't come out blotchy. Such careful handiwork!

With a cold iced Americano and sweet snacks, there was no boredom at all and the time flew by :)
What is the shampoo room like at ONLY FOR YOU Hannam Main Branch?
The shampoo room at ONLY FOR YOU Hannam Main Branch was clean and cozy, and the shampoo bed supported my whole body, which was comfortable. After seeing the color had come out beautifully, I headed to the shampoo room to rinse it out! Lying back, nothing dug into my neck or lower back, and the bed supported my whole body comfortably.
After shampooing I went back to my seat, they dried my hair thoroughly with a dryer, and the moment I looked in the mirror I loved it!
Root dye result: one even tone with no line against the dyed hair
The root dye I got at ONLY FOR YOU Hannam Main Branch joined the new dark roots and the previously dyed hair into one tone with no dividing line. A badly done root dye can leave a band in the middle that looks blotchy and messy, but thanks to Yongbi's golden-hand technique it looked as if it had been my natural color all along. The seamless blend was amazing!
Maybe it's the high-quality premium ingredients, but even after the treatment my scalp felt no dryness or tightness at all, and I was happy about that!
