It's an easy walk from the National Museum of Korea, so it works well as part of a museum outing. The eggs Benedict was good, but the kimchi fried rice was just so, so much better than I expected!

Mellang is open Tuesday to Sunday, 10:00–20:30, and closed every Monday. For parking, use the Hangang Mansion apartment arcade parking lot behind the shop, and it said reservations, takeout and delivery are available.
A white-toned brunch café in an Ichon-dong apartment arcade
Mellang sits in an apartment shopping arcade in Ichon-dong.

The white exterior and simple sign look clean, and it felt like a calm neighborhood spot rather than a busy commercial street.

Inside, bright lighting and a white-toned interior caught my eye.

It's tidy and cozy, great for brunch, and you can see the view outside from the window side, so it never felt stuffy.

Food photographs nicely here, and it's a comfortable space for chatting over a meal with a friend or partner.

Mellang has a wide menu, from brunch dishes to pasta, risotto and salads, and meals mostly run ₩16,000–19,000.

- Kimchi fried rice ₩17,000
- Americano ₩4,500
- Lemon pineapple ade ₩6,000
It's a brunch café, so prices aren't cheap, but considering how good the food was, it was a very satisfying lunch.
Truffle bacon eggs Benedict: the runny yolk is the highlight

The brunch dish I was most looking forward to at Mellang was the truffle bacon eggs Benedict (₩19,000). Bacon and a poached egg sit on a croissant, and it looked delicious from the first glance.
When I gently cut into the poached egg, the yolk came flowing out, and that moment was the real highlight! Nutty croissant, salty bacon and soft poached egg together made a really great combo.

With the truffle aroma on top, I enjoyed every single bite.
Is the kimchi fried rice at Mellang really good?

Mellang's kimchi fried rice (₩17,000) was the most memorable dish of the day. Honestly, when I ordered kimchi fried rice at a brunch café, I didn't expect much. But after one bite, I completely changed my mind.
The savory depth of the kimchi blends with bacon and vegetables, and eating it with the egg on top was just so good. It's slightly spicy yet nutty, and my spoon kept going back for more.

If the eggs Benedict is soft and rich, the kimchi fried rice really wakes up your appetite! If you're looking for brunch near the National Museum of Korea, put this dish on your shortlist too.
Americano and lemon pineapple ade at Mellang
The Americano (₩4,500) went well alongside brunch, and the lemon pineapple ade (₩6,000) had a fresh, fruity taste that cleansed the palate.

Taking a sip of ade after a rich dish like the eggs Benedict was really nice. I also liked that you can sort out everything from the meal to coffee in one place.
Went for the eggs Benedict, completely fell for the kimchi fried rice: a brunch gem!
Both dishes were delicious, but personally the kimchi fried rice is the one I remember most.

I liked that it keeps that brunch vibe while still giving you a filling meal, and the bright, clean space let me enjoy lunch at a relaxed pace.
Mellang review: who should go?
If you're looking for somewhere to eat before or after visiting the National Museum of Korea, or a nice brunch café in Ichon-dong, I'd recommend Mellang.

Even if one person loves brunch like eggs Benedict and the other prefers rice dishes, choosing from the menu should be easy~

If you're after a brunch café near Ichon Station, Mellang is a place I'd happily visit again.

I'll definitely order the kimchi fried rice again next time!
