bd Burger Seongsu is a top-tier handmade burger place among the many burger joints around Seongsu Station, and yes, there's a wait. Carbs, protein and fat in perfect balance, and tastes perfect too: the hamburger! I honestly love burgers so much. From handmade burgers to franchise burgers, I adore pretty much all of them. I went to Seongsu Station for a date this time and stopped by bd Burger, so here's my honest review.

📍 bd Burger Seongsu is within walking distance of Seongsu Station Exit 3, on the 2nd floor of a building, so keep that in mind. It isn't tucked away in a corner of the Seongsu Station area but close to the hot spots, so it was super easy to find. There are plenty of great burger places in Seongsu, but my husband says bd Burger is the very best, and this was his 3rd visit~

⏰ bd Burger Seongsu is open daily 11:30–21:00, with last order at 20:30. Please plan your visit around these hours. It's open every day so it's easy to drop by, and there's no break time, which makes it even better.

How long was the weekend wait?

We went at a busy weekend time and waited about 10 minutes before being seated. There is a wait, but it's totally manageable! Table turnover is fast so the line moves quickly, and above all the food is good enough to be worth waiting for.

bd Burger Seongsu has a cozy, hip vibe. The place isn't huge, but it doesn't feel cramped either! The big windows keep it from feeling stuffy, and the mood is great, so there were couples on dates like us, plus people eating solo or with friends.

bd Burger is famous among handmade burger fans, so I was excited. My husband works in Seongsu and has come back here many times, saying it's a real gem! He recommended it, so we came on his tip, and it was honestly heavenly... 🥹

For sides, we chose bd Burger's signature eggplant fries, and for one set I wanted the fried button mushrooms too, so I picked the mushroom combo. For drinks, light ones: Zero Coke and Zero Sprite!

bd Burger's sides and drinks have a uniqueness that sets them a bit apart from other burger places. The fried eggplant is especially charming. I'd heard a few times that bd Burger's fried eggplant is great, and having tried it myself, it's definitely popular for a reason.

To keep a bare minimum of conscience (haha), I ordered Zero Coke and Zero Sprite. bd Burger also sells milkshakes and beer, so have whatever you like.

How was the bd Wasabi Shrimp Burger?

The bd Wasabi Shrimp Burger is bd Burger's most famous item, with a thick shrimp patty and wasabi mayo sauce. The really thick shrimp patty is fried super crispy, and the whole shrimp meat feels springy and bouncy. Heavenly.

A signature burger really is in a different league. The fried shrimp patty with smooth wasabi mayo adds richness while cutting the greasiness. That gentle kick was seriously charming.

Patty and sauce are both delicious, so the signature burger is confirmed. After trying the wasabi shrimp, I instantly understood why my husband keeps coming back to bd Burger. It can't be compared to franchise burgers.

Eggplant fries instead of french fries at bd Burger?

When you come to bd Burger, definitely get the fried eggplant as your side! Most people pair burgers with the usual french fries, but at bd Burger the fried eggplant is the kicker. You have to eat this. Even people who don't like eggplant will absolutely love it!

The batter on the eggplant fries is incredibly crispy. It reminded me of the kushikatsu (Japanese skewered fried food) I had in Japan! Crispy outside, juicy inside.. The eggplant itself is delicious too, the best fried eggplant I've ever had, so it's not even comparable to french fries.

How is the eggplant & button mushroom combo?

bd Burger's eggplant & button mushroom combo is even more appealing because it comes with fried button mushrooms on top of the fried eggplant! I love button mushrooms, and these are fried, so it's a can't-go-wrong combo.

First, the sauce is so good, and the mushrooms are crispy with a lovely aroma, so they were the best. Like the premium mushroom they are, they taste expensive. Personally they were as good as the fried eggplant, so I think the combo beats plain fried eggplant!

What style is bd Burger's Double Cheese Burger?

bd Burger's Double Cheese Burger is a juicy American-style burger with thinly sliced onion and two thick beef patties 🍔 It's a classic-style burger, so I ordered it. Truly the textbook double cheeseburger. The patties are hefty, rich and delicious.

On a diet? Try the Grilled Shrimp Avocado Burger

bd Burger's Grilled Shrimp Avocado Burger has shrimp that's grilled over fire instead of fried, so it's perfect for dieters 🍔 It should be great for anyone who prefers a clean taste or is dieting. Don't assume a dieter-friendly burger will be bland, No! This was my favorite.

The bun is soft, the avocado is rich and creamy, and the whole shrimp had a proper smoky grill flavor! Bouncy, plentiful and so tasty.. 🥹 I learned at bd Burger that a clean, light burger can be this good. I want it again.

Do I recommend bd Burger as a burger spot in Seongsu?

If you're looking for a hot burger spot in Seongsu, definitely come to bd Burger, you won't regret it! The taste is great, the location is great, and even the sides are delicious, can you believe it 🥹 It's almost tragic that there's no gem like this near my home.
