Nampo-dong offal restaurant full by 6pm Sunday: Bupyeong Yang Gopchang

Bupyeong Yang Gopchang is the busiest yang gopchang (grilled beef offal) restaurant on the offal street in Nampo-dong, Jung-gu, Busan. Arriving at 6pm on a Sunday for two, Bupyeong Yang Gopchang's main building was already nearly full, so the pair were sent to the shop next door, where they worked through a medium stone-pan seasoned offal order with heart, large intestine and tripe, siraeguk (dried radish green soup) and a closing plate of fried rice. Lines form from 6:30pm, so coming a little earlier is the safer plan.

Seongsan seafood restaurant, no-wait Naver booking: Jejurowoon A set

Jejurowoon Cheonghaewon Seongsan Ilchulbong Branch is a set-menu seafood restaurant on Sinyang-ro in Seongsan, Jeju, known for galchi-jorim (braised hairtail) and grilled tilefish. Booking through Naver before a weekday lunch meant walking straight in with no wait, and the A set brought braised hairtail, grilled tilefish, glutinous rice cooked in a pot, soy-marinated crab and sea urchin seaweed soup for in the ₩20,000s per person. For a last-day-in-Jeju meal, Jejurowoon Cheonghaewon delivered the biggest hairtail of the trip.
