Hannam-dong sandwich shop takeout for an Oksu Han River picnic: Dance

Today I visited Dance Dance Dance Hannam, a sandwich shop in Hannam-dong that's been steadily loved as a local favorite!

This felt like exactly the kind of place that'd come to mind when you want something simple but delicious after a Han River picnic or a run — so this time I got everything to go and ate it properly at the river park haha.

Where is Dance Dance Dance Hannam, and what is the shop like?

Dance Dance Dance Hannam sits right at an intersection on the main road, Dokseodang-ro, so it wasn't hard to find even on a first visit! The moment you step inside, the atmosphere is really nice.

Overall it has this warm yet hip feeling, so even though I came for a sandwich I ended up taking a bunch of photos haha.

There are seats inside to sit and eat, and tables set up on the front terrace too. It's a bit hot right now, but once fall rolls around and the weather cools down, eating out on the terrace would be really nice!

It felt like a great spot in particular for a light lunch or brunch in Hannam-dong.

What we ordered, and the takeout run to Oksu Han River Park

This time at Dance Dance Dance Hannam I ordered two things: the jambon jalapeño sandwich and the pollock roe baguette. There were so many things on the menu I wanted to try that I agonized over it for a while ☺️. This time I got it all packed to go.

I happened to have somewhere to be near Oksu, so after getting my order packed I headed to Oksu Han River Park — and even though it was a bit hot, eating a sandwich by the river gave it a totally different mood haha. I thought packing a sandwich to go for a Han River picnic is actually a pretty great idea.

If you're planning a picnic around Ichon Han River Park or Oksu Han River Park especially, I'd recommend packing this to go ahead of time!

How does the jambon jalapeño sandwich taste?

The jambon jalapeño sandwich combines jambon from Charcutier, a premium charcuterie brand, with jalapeño tofu cream cheese.

The cream cheese made with both tofu and cream cheese, plus jalapeño, gave it a slightly different charm from a typical jambon sandwich. One bite in, there's a subtle spicy kick that comes through, but it's never overwhelming. The soft tofu cream cheese and jambon worked really well together, and the overall balance was great.

None of the ingredients stood out too much on their own — they all blended together nicely, which I found satisfying.

If you're looking for a good sandwich spot in Hannam-dong, this is one worth trying at least once haha.

The pollock roe baguette is just as good

And personally, the pollock roe baguette left quite an impression! Underneath the salty flavor of the roe, there's a subtle sweetness that hits like an extra spoonful — really charming. The umami was intense, and it kept coming back to mind even after I finished eating lol.

It paired really well with the baguette too, and above all, the baguette itself was delicious. Crispy outside, moist inside, without the usual chewy toughness of a baguette — a texture that's easy for anyone to enjoy. Honestly, I felt like the baguette alone would've been great haha.

Worth a stop before a Han River picnic or after a run

This time I got everything packed from Dance Dance Dance Hannam and ate by the Han River, and that combination turned out to be way better than expected.

It's great to pack a sandwich for a Han River picnic, and also good if you want something tasty but not too heavy after a run! Dance Dance Dance has such a varied menu that next time I want to try the other sandwiches one by one. It was a bit of a shame having to pick just one this time when there was so much I wanted to try lol.

On my next visit, I'll have to work through the rest of the menu one item at a time. As a sandwich shop that's been consistently loved in Hannam-dong, the overall satisfaction was high.

I'd recommend this to anyone looking for a good sandwich spot in Hannam-dong, or anyone wanting a place to pack takeout before a Han River picnic :) I especially want to come back once fall weather cools down, because eating on the terrace then would set such a great mood! Dance Dance Dance in Hannam-dong was, without a doubt, delicious :) I'm 100% coming back!
