Wondang bakery café: Heungguk pumpkin loaf & oat latte, Baedagol
In short
Baedagol Bakery House (배다골베이커리하우스) is a two-story bakery café with a flower garden and a sandpit in Wondang, Deogyang-gu, Goyang, Gyeonggi. A regular visited Baedagol Bakery House on a weekday evening with her mom and had the Heungguk sweet pumpkin bread (8,000 won), a scallion cream cheese bagel, a real chestnut latte and an oat café latte, recommending the Heungguk sweet pumpkin bread and the oat latte above all. With good bread, garden views and plenty of discount events, Baedagol Bakery House is a great café to visit with parents or kids.

Today I'm recommending Baedagol Bakery House, a café in Goyang / Ilsan / Wondang!

A blue-green view from the café, delicious bread, and even a garden where kids can play. It's a great café to bring your parents or your children!
Regular's proof here. It still counts if you include the times I forgot to get my stamp, right? T_T I've loved this café for a long time, so getting to visit it with a benefit made me extra emotional 😭😭
Baedagol Bakery House hours and parking
Baedagol Bakery House is open daily 10:00-21:00, with last order at 20:30. There's parking in front of the café, and you get 10% off if you follow them on Instagram.

If it's full, use parking lots 2 and 3 (right across the street!)

On weekends the cars fill up all the way to lot 3, but it was a weekday so it was nice and quiet -✨ Oh, and Baedagol Bakery House is the sister café of Baedagol Bakery Forêt. Both are lovely, but House is more my taste 😉
What are the garden and seating like at Baedagol Bakery House?

Baedagol Bakery House is a two-story building with a colorful garden full of flowers. The flowers in the garden change with the seasons. The owner really seems to care about flowers! *You can even buy flowers at Forêt. It hits the spot for my mom and her friends, who love flowers 🔫
In one corner of the garden there's a sandpit for little ones. Isn't that amazing, haha. It's perfect for bringing kids!! The moms can chat while the kids play in the sand~~
The outdoor seating is well set up too, and lots of people sit outside on nice weekends.
Reason 1 I love it: green-view picture windows 🌿
Thanks to the huge windows, you can enjoy the garden from inside too. The 2nd floor is green as well. There's a private room like this up there, and a terrace too! *The terrace is a no-kids zone for safety.

They have baby chairs too.
What's good at Baedagol Bakery House? The bread
Reason 2 I love it: the bread is so good T_T

It was evening, so a lot of the shelves were empty 🥹 Baedagol Bakery House sells cakes too, but the bread and bakery items are honestly even better. Chestnut bread, olive ciabatta and so on, those fluffy breads are really 🤤 the king of fluffiness
My top bread recommendation is!!!!! the Heungguk sweet pumpkin bread!!! (I review it below.) The drink menu is varied too.

The seasonal menu changes too, which I love. In summer it was mango!!!!! Now that it's fall: mugwort rice cake, sweet potato, chestnut. Fall aromas everywhere 🍂🍁
Discounts and events at Baedagol Bakery House
Reason 3 I love it: so many events!! ✨
- Follow on Instagram or add the KakaoTalk channel and get 10% off your total (just show it at the register!)
- Nara Sarang (patriotic) event: 20% off for soldiers, police officers, firefighters and sanitation workers. Isn't that such a kind event T_T
- Birthday event: visit on your birthday and get a drink and bread as a birthday gift! The best T_T
- Naver review event: write a photo review (3 photos) plus a text review and get one free bakery item, regardless of price....!

So generous, right.... 🔥🫶 5. Stamp card: on top of those discounts you can collect stamps too, so be sure to get one~~ One stamp per drink!
+ And this was an event I'd never seen before: customers who spend ₩30,000 or more that day get 1kg of sweet potatoes, haha. Maybe it's because of events like this, but coming here makes my heart feel full. It really feels like a café that gives without holding back ♥️

How do the real chestnut latte, oat latte and Heungguk sweet pumpkin bread taste?
We ordered these four items at Baedagol Bakery House.
- Heungguk sweet pumpkin bread ₩8,000
- Scallion cream cheese bagel ₩7,000
- Real chestnut latte ₩10,000
- Café latte ₩6,500 (switch to oat milk +₩1,000)

Real chestnut latte ₩10,000

The real chestnut latte is ₩10,000, which made me gasp, but it comes loaded with chestnut and is pretty substantial (about ₩9,000 once you take off the 10% discount). Sweet chestnut purée plus smooth milk is a very good combo.
Café latte with oat milk
Oat lattes taste different at every café, but the oat latte at Baedagol Bakery House is so good. Not greasy at all, and nutty!!!!! It's getting cold so I had it hot, but I'm still an iced person, haha.
Scallion cream cheese bagel, and my big recommendation: Heungguk sweet pumpkin bread!!!

Personally, I'm not a fan of bread with lots of holes. Do you know what I mean? The scallion cream cheese bagel was exactly that. Hmm.. kind of like a baguette, but a baguette with no moisture? The cream cheese was delicious, but the bread's texture isn't my taste T_T

Everyone, please eat the Heungguk sweet pumpkin bread... It's called sweet pumpkin, but there's no actual pumpkin in it; the yellow inside is more like a sweet pumpkin rice cake? It's truly mild + sweet + soft, fluffy bread + chewy glutinous rice, so you can keep eating it forever. Grown-ups will love this flavor too!!!

It was a date with my mom, eating good drinks and bread at my favorite café on a weekday for the first time in a while. Honestly... I recommend Baedagol Bakery House, so please stop by...!! Owner, please run this place for a very long time.
