I was looking for somewhere near Guro Digital Complex Station with good snacks and a drink for the evening, and ended up at Eulji Pocha Guro Digital Complex Branch. There are plenty of sleek, polished bars around these days, but this one was different. The moment you walk in, it feels like a time warp to some alley in 1980s–90s Korea, and the retro vibe is everywhere.
It's not just dressed up with a bit of an old-school feel either — the signage, the floor, all the little props are so committed to the vintage mood that it's genuinely fun to look around this Guro Digital Complex bar 👍 Good snacks, drinks, various events, and you can even hear your song request — this place would be especially fun with friends 👍 There were a lot of people in their 20s and 30s.

Eulji Pocha Guro Digital Complex Branch sits near Guro Digital Complex Station, so it's an easy stop for office workers after hours. The area around the station is packed with companies, restaurants and bars, making it perfect for setting up an evening plan. Walking down the alley, the blue-lit sign catches your eye, and you can already tell from the outside how huge the place is.

It's great for a team dinner after work, and also works well as a second-round spot with friends. There's a menu sign right out front, handy if you're the type who struggles to decide — there's so much variety you won't need to worry about what to order.
A retro 1980s–90s interior that gets the details right
The first thing that struck me walking into Eulji Pocha Guro Digital Complex Branch was the distinctive vintage concept. Every table is a round pocha (street-tent bar)-style table. From the 1980s–90s Korean signage to the alleyway-inspired design and even flooring that mimics an actual road, fun little details were everywhere.

There are plenty of retro-concept bars around these days, but Eulji Pocha isn't just a few props scattered around — the whole space is designed as one cohesive scene, which makes the immersion much stronger.

Looking at the old signage and the street atmosphere brought back a kind of nostalgia — like the old Korean streets I remember from childhood.
More than anything, the interior was far bigger than I expected, with tons of seating. Wait, seats go all the way back there too?? It's that spacious!!! There's plenty of table seating, so it works well for small gatherings and larger team dinners alike.

There are plenty of great photo spots too, so beyond the food, just browsing the space is a lot of fun.
Do you really get coins for ordering food and drinks?
What I found especially fun at Eulji Pocha was the coins!

You get coins with every order — so what do you do with them?

We ordered twice, so we ended up with 6 coins total. Anyway, here's what you can do with them:

You can trade coins for ice cream, try a claw machine for toys, and there's even old-school snack food for sale. At the same time, this area doubles as the DJ booth. You can take life-four-cut photos, try a gift draw, or make cotton candy and dalgona (honeycomb candy). We made dalgona.

I'd wanted to try dalgona-making ever since watching Squid Game, haha — it was fun.

We also traded coins for ice cream between the two of us — is it just me, or are there way too many fun things going on here? Haha. Play a round while drinking, grab some ice cream, maybe even bet with friends — with all these elements, it felt less like a bar and more like an old-school pocha and arcade combined into one space. These events alone make me want to come back.
DJ booth song requests: we heard "Gaja Gaja Korea"
Another fun thing at Eulji Pocha Guro Digital Complex Branch was the DJ booth. Song request slips are taped up on every wall, and there are request forms at the tables where you can write down the song you want to hear.
Sorry for the messy handwriting. Anyway, the lyrics are genuinely funny and the melody is total K-pop, so we requested RbTreble's "gaja gaja Korea." You should listen to it too 👍 I keep singing the chorus to myself lol. Gaja gaja Korea!

They played our request right away, which was great — hearing your actual request come on is a different kind of fun compared to a bar that just plays background music 👍👍👍 If you're out with friends, putting in your own favorite songs and waiting for them is a fun little event on its own. Especially once the vibe's picked up, hearing your song come on feels extra exciting 🫶
The combination of retro vibes + pocha + games + DJ at Eulji Pocha was pretty unique and fun.
Yuringi: plump chicken with a crispy coating
For our snack we ordered yuringi (crispy fried chicken with a tangy sauce). I was craving something spicy and crunchy that day. Crispy fried chicken topped with a tangy, savory sauce — perfect pairing for drinks.

They piled on plenty of chili too. Best of all, the chicken pieces were plumper and thicker than I expected — you can't say no to yuringi stacked up like a mountain!
The basic side of old-school crackers — honestly, doesn't everyone finish two bowls of that as a given? Yeah, that's me 😂

We ended up ordering one more bottle of soju.

This wasn't the kind of yuringi where the batter is thick and the meat inside is skimpy — every bite was packed with tender chicken.

Crispy outside, juicy inside, with that tangy-sweet sauce — the kind of flavor that keeps your chopsticks going back!

Good with a drink on your own, and also great shared among a group as a snack, haha. I think I'll order yuringi again next time I'm here.

Cheers to surviving another week!

Made more dalgona with our leftover coins, haha. A space where you can chat over drinks and make some memories together. It was a lot of fun.
Verdict: who Eulji Pocha in Guro is best for
There are so many bars near Guro Digital Complex Station that office workers flock to, but Eulji Pocha Guro Digital Complex Branch clearly has its own charm! From the vintage interior modeled after 1980s–90s Korean alleys, to the spacious hall with plenty of seating, coin-based games and ice cream, and a system where the DJ booth actually plays your requested song — there was a lot going on 👍
On top of that, the plump-chicken yuringi was genuinely satisfying as a drinking snack, and with the 2-bottles-of-soju + zero-sugar cola set, it was good value for a group visit too.
