Makise Hapjeong is a Japanese kaisendon restaurant in Mapo, Seoul. I tried its signature seafood rice bowl with extra uni, loving the thick, springy sashimi and rich ankimo most of all. Verdict: a place I would happily revisit solo or with up to three companions.
Oreudeubi Sangwangsimni Station Branch is a hair salon in Seongdong, Seoul, within walking distance of Sindang Station. After a straightening treatment and perm left my fine hair dry, I tried the AYUNCHE hair clinic, complete with steam, a hair pack, and a massage. Verdict: I would happily return for customized hair care from Sangwangsimni or Sindang.
