Before the treatment, I hadn't had a cut in over a month, so my hair was long, hot and a pain to style. At Urban Trend Sanbon I asked for the lightest possible cut, showed a photo of the style I wanted, and talked through things like the amount of curl and the shape of the sideburns beforehand. I asked for a semi leaf perm done with an iron perm!

How is a semi leaf perm done with a men's iron perm?

To set the basic shape before the iron perm, they gave me a layered-style cut. They didn't cut the fringe much, but added a light texture. Taking weight off the back made it look noticeably cooler and neater.

For an iron perm, they apply the perm solution to loosen the hair, rinse it out at the shampoo station, then shape the waves one by one with an iron. It looked like a more complicated process than a cold perm, but after going through all of it, the result was a natural leaf look.

At Urban Trend Sanbon you can get a massage with a massage device during the neutralizing wait, so waiting was really relaxing.

The semi leaf perm took about two hours in total, from the cut to the finish. After neutralizing was done, the final step was smoothing the texture with a flat iron and styling, which gave the clean volume a semi leaf perm is known for. With the massage and the relaxing time, it didn't feel that long!

I also filmed my whole head on video, and I liked that it was neat and perfectly set from every angle! When I washed my hair a day later at home, the style came out almost the same, which made getting ready for work in the morning easy!!
