After nearly a year of doing only root dye, my hair tone had become uneven, so I finally went to tone it down with a brown dye. This time I visited a salon in Hannam that is easy to park at and fairly priced for Yongsan: ONLY FOR YOU Hannam Main Branch. Here comes my honest review.
Location and how to get to ONLY FOR YOU Hannam Main Branch
ONLY FOR YOU Hannam Main Branch is near Hannam Five-way Intersection, on the 3rd floor at 70 Dokseodang-ro, Yongsan-gu, Seoul. It is open daily 11:00-22:00. If you drive, it is right off Gangbyeon Expressway, so access is easy. By public transport, it is a 7-minute walk from Hannam Station, but there is a bus stop right in front, so I recommend transferring to a bus!
Is parking free at ONLY FOR YOU Hannam Main Branch?
Yes, it has a whopping 250 free parking spaces. That is the most important info for drivers, and the 3-hour limit is generous, so no time worries. The parking lot is also clean and pleasant, so full marks from me.
Atmosphere inside the salon
After parking, head up to the 3rd floor and you will find ONLY FOR YOU Hannam Main Branch.
Warm-toned wood interior stood out from the entrance. The lighting was warm too, giving the whole place a cozy feel.
The big windows let you enjoy Hannam's greenery as a bonus! I visited in the morning, so it was quiet, which I liked even more.
In the waiting area, the cute candies and tester products set out for customers showed how thoughtful ONLY FOR YOU Hannam is.

ONLY FOR YOU Hannam Main Branch has a lot of designers. There are a whopping 10 stylists at this one branch alone. I liked its operating policy of focusing on quality of service rather than cutting costs or expenses.
Patchy root-dyed hair: the brown dye process
My hair before the treatment
Because I had done only root dye for almost a year, the top, bottom and middle of my hair were all different colors. At my last root dye, another salon even told me the patchiness had gotten bad and recommended all-over dye next time.
Top, bottom and middle are all different colors, right? T_T There was also a part in the middle that had turned yellow, so this time I decided with designer Yeongseo to cover it cleanly with a brown dye.
Color consultation: choosing a reddish brown
Before the brown dye, I had a detailed hair color consultation with designer Yeongseo. Brown has a wide range of shades, so she carefully checked exactly what color I wanted, and I chose a brown with a reddish tint.
Scalp protector and skin cream, then the dye begins
Now, let the dyeing begin! Looking at it like this, my color already seems to have gotten brighter. At ONLY FOR YOU, they carefully applied not only a scalp protector before dyeing but also a skin cream, which showed how attentive they are.
I filmed a video in between, too. Oh, and all the staff at ONLY FOR YOU Hannam Main Branch, designer Yeongseo included, are so kind!
They say they select only higher-priced, quality ingredients for the dye as well, so if you are looking for a Hannam salon, there is no reason not to go to ONLY FOR YOU, right?
A little later, they gave me a shampoo and massage at the shampoo station, and the brown dye was done!
Brown dye result: yellow gone, even tone
After the brown dye at ONLY FOR YOU Hannam Main Branch, I got neatly toned-down hair.
The yellow tones are cleanly gone and the color is even.
Is it just my imagination that my hair even feels healthier? My messy hair was neatly covered by designer Yeongseo's brown dye. Thank you, designer Yeongseo, for the careful consultation and treatment :)
