Matcha soy milk powder, 2 scoops in 180ml water: Garu Seonsaeng
In short
Garu Seonsaeng (Garuseonsaeng Seoritae Seoritae) Tameokneun Saengduyu Matcha is a 500g soy milk powder you stir into water to drink like matcha soy milk. One 30g serving lists 6.3g plant protein and 10.3g sugar, and two scoops in 180ml of warm water made a thick drink closer to matcha soup than a latte. Garu Seonsaeng's matcha powder works less as a high-protein supplement and more as a late-night matcha snack.

Lately I get hungry in between meals but don't really want to just grab random snacks, and eating a protein shake every day was starting to get old... I still eat them, but there's only so much chocolate-and-vanilla rotation I can take haha.
Then I found this "drinkable raw soy milk" powder that turns into soy milk when you mix it with water. Honestly at first I was skeptical — powder in water becomes soy milk? The one I picked was the matcha soy milk type, and I tried it warm, and it surprised me by tasting way better than expected. Since it's a product that also gives you plant protein from soybeans, I've been having it as a snack.

Tastes good while being healthy!
Garu Seonsaeng matcha soy milk powder in 3 lines
- This drinkable soy milk powder turns into matcha soy milk with just water, so it was simple to store and use.
- Per 30g serving, plant protein is listed at 6.3g and sugar at 10.3g.
- I liked it best mixed strong in warm water rather than cold — it got slightly thick, like a matcha soup.
What does this matcha soy milk taste like?
Mixing Garuseonsaeng Seoritae Tameokneun Saengduyu Matcha into warm water, it was nuttier than I expected. There's that distinctive matcha bitterness alongside a soy flavor, so it felt different from a regular matcha latte.
There are nights I suddenly get hungry, and I try not to eat late-night snacks as much as possible T_T But if I just tough it out hungry, I end up looking for something else anyway...

Maybe because of the powder, when I mixed it strong it felt a bit thick. Drinking it warm reminded me of the sweet pumpkin soup I used to eat haha. I bet adding a little fresh cream would make it taste like actual soup. I'll have to try that later!!! Looking forward to it, hehe.

Ingredients and how much matcha is in it
Tameokneun Saengduyu Matcha is soybean-based, with 9% domestic matcha, along with unrefined cane sugar and sea salt used. Since it contains soybeans, if you have a soy allergy it's better to check the ingredients first.

Another thing I liked was that it uses domestic organic matcha. When choosing matcha soy milk, I tend to look at how much actual matcha is in it rather than just strong flavoring, and this product has the matcha content clearly labeled, so it was easy to check. Ingredient check!!
Also, despite the "plant protein" label, this isn't a super high-protein product like a protein shake. One 30g serving has 6.3g of plant protein, so I think of it less as a high-protein supplement and more as a matcha snack with a bit of protein added.

It's delicious~~
How to mix it: one scoop vs two scoops in 180ml water
The recommended way to drink it is about 2 scoops (30g) in 180ml of water. At first I tried using just one scoop to make it last longer. But for this one, you really need two scoops to make it taste good haha. One scoop made the matcha soy milk flavor too weak, kind of watered down.

Mixed strong, it beats a café matcha latte haha!! I think it'd taste even better mixed with milk.
Add a snack on the side and you've got instant home café vibes~ Tastes good both cold and hot!

Stirring the powder into a café latte for a matcha latte
I also tried mixing the drinkable soy milk into my usual café latte. Made this way, it feels a lot more like a café-style matcha latte than plain matcha soy milk haha. Adding the nuttiness of milk made it even smoother.
Since the base product already contains unrefined cane sugar, I didn't feel the need to add extra syrup when mixing it into a latte. Being able to get plant protein while also switching up my usual coffee or latte made it convenient to use.

Garuseonsaeng Seoritae's matcha soy milk is made by just dissolving powder in water, so storage and prep were simple, and one 500g bag lets you split it into many servings.

I've been enjoying it whenever I get hungry at night or just feel like a cup of matcha soy milk!
