Large beach towel for kids’ water play: Lifeclue

As the weather got warmer, I started taking my child out for water play every weekend. I used the Lifeclue Beach Towel to wrap them up and dry them off afterward.

What was the design like at home and on a picnic?

The first things that caught my eye were the bold colors and distinctive design. My family was interested in the design too, and when I hung it at home, I thought it would work nicely as a decorative accent.

When we went to the park for a family picnic, I spread it over the table. Just putting one colorful towel on it made the table feel different.

Is it big enough to wrap up a child after water play?

After playing in a fountain, my child was soaked all over and shivering. That was when I wrapped them in the towel.

At 100×180cm, it was roomy enough to wrap around my child’s whole body. It was also generously sized for adults.

It felt soft and cozy, almost like suede, so my child did not mind being wrapped up in it. I thought it was great for covering a wet body, and it absorbed water fairly quickly too. Our cats at home also liked the soft feel.

Was it easy to dry and reuse between water-play sessions?

It was large, but weighed under 400g. After water play, I draped it over our wagon and walked around the park for a few laps, and it felt like the moisture dried off quickly during that time.

The towels I used before took a long time to dry once they got wet, so they were hard to reuse. This one dried relatively quickly, so I thought it would be convenient to dry and reuse throughout the day.

How did I fold and carry the large towel?

For storage, I first folded the towel neatly.

When I tucked the folded towel into the elastic band attached to it, it stayed neatly together as one bundle.

It was big when unfolded, but once folded and packed away, it was not burdensome to carry. You can also get a sense of its packed size from the photo of an adult man holding the rolled towel.

I packed one towel in a small waterproof bag. It was enough for drying my child after water play, and I did not need to carry a separate large bag just because of the towel.

Did it bleed color or have any finishing issues after washing?

Because the colors were vivid, I was initially worried about color transfer and washed it separately. When I machine-washed it, I did not notice any color transfer, and it was still fine after washing. The edges have an overlock finish, so I was less worried about them fraying too.

However, because of the material, you should avoid using a tumble dryer and washing it in hot water. In my experience, the roomy size, soft feel, and the fact that it dried quickly and folded away easily were especially convenient.
