A Songpa café: Grid Cafe

I stopped by Grid Cafe, a Songpa café in Ogeum-dong packed with all kinds of baked sweets and fluffy bread.

Wouldn't you envy a neighborhood with a gem of a café like this? The range is really wide, it actually tastes good, and the prices are reasonable too, so if you're looking for a bakery café in Songpa, I'd recommend it :0

An Ogeum-dong bakery on the way to Olympic Park

On the way to Olympic Park I didn't feel like a meal, but I was craving good bread and coffee.

Turns out Grid Cafe has long been established as a great spot for egg tarts and salt bread. To think you can find this many kinds of bakery items at such reasonable prices in a neighborhood café..
Even if you don't live in Ogeum-dong, it's well worth making the time to visit.
Seating and atmosphere at Grid Cafe: can you work on a laptop?
There's quite a bit of seating inside Grid Cafe. There were tables where you can sit facing the window, and tables for two.

Because of the nature of the café, long stretches on a personal laptop or working are discouraged, and the space felt made for relaxing and focusing only on drinks and bread :0
It seemed good for reading lightly or chatting~

Grid Cafe also uses Fritz Coffee, so the coffee is a sure thing too.

Seeing the Fritz Coffee logo posted in front of the shop, I came only for bread and ended up having a coffee too~
What breads does Grid Cafe have?
Grid Cafe displays a variety of bakery items in a clear showcase, from baked sweets to meal breads like salt bread, ciabatta and sliced bread. It was a little before 3 PM, and many things were already sold out!

Besides the sweet baked goods, there are meal breads like salt bread, ciabatta and sliced bread, so it seemed like a good stop as a brunch substitute too.

You can feel that it's made with care from good ingredients. Every item on display looked so appetizing. If you come to Grid Cafe, I recommend trying the egg tart and the salt bread varieties! haha

The coffee and non-coffee menu was varied too, and ordering was easy at the kiosk.
How was the latte and egg tart combo at Grid Cafe?
At Grid Cafe I ordered a few signature bakery items to go with a warm latte. It was an abundant bakery and coffee spread, appetizing and nicely presented.

First, the latte was really nutty and smooth, and paired with the signature dessert, the egg tart, it was so good~

The soft foam and just-right milk temperature let the coffee come through much better. It was a latte where you could taste the deep, rich flavor of the beans without any bitterness or harshness.
The egg tart has a crisp exterior like pastry, but I don't think it's quite pastry.. the rich, buttery flavor was really good.
Nutty and sweet, and the filling inside was packed full..!! It tasted like a plump egg pudding, and the texture was insane ㅜㅜ
An egg tart where that rich, nutty butter flavor just exploded..

If you come, I definitely recommend the latte and egg tart combo.
How is the mocha salt bread at Grid Cafe?

I picked the mocha flavor for the salt bread at Grid Cafe, and I loved that the tip at the bottom was left as is, lol. The owner really knows their stuff.. you know it only tastes right if you serve it without tearing that off.

The crunch of the fragrant mocha bun on top and the chewy, soft salt bread were so good. You can feel directly that they didn't skimp on ingredients with every bite, haha
Quattro formaggi ciabatta and the free oil
Grid Cafe had quite a lot of ciabatta varieties, so many that it was hard to pick just one..! I wanted every single one.

The quattro formaggi (four-cheese) ciabatta I ordered today was perfect as a meal substitute!
You can add the dipping oil for free. Dipping the fluffy bread in it makes it feel like a real dish rather than an appetizer..

It was fluffy with a moist inside, and there were lots of meal breads that would be great to stock up on in the freezer, so it seems like a great place for bread shopping too.

Grid Cafe in Ogeum-dong, Songpa, with its tasty variety of bakery items and coffee, was a place where you can enjoy plenty of breads baked with care from good ingredients!
