In short

It had been a while since I was at Jamsil Station, and it was that awkward in-between hour — not quite lunch, not quite dinner — but I was too hungry to just skip eating. While looking for something to grab, I ended up at Town Sandwich, a Jamsil sandwich spot that looked like it had recently opened.

Why even a baguette-sandwich skeptic finished this one easily
The baguette at Town Sandwich Jamsil Branch was crisp yet soft, so it didn't scrape the roof of my mouth. I usually don't love baguette sandwiches because the crust is so hard it tears up the inside of your mouth. And with all the fillings packed inside, if the outside is too crunchy, everything ends up squeezing out the sides — hard to eat at all haha.

But here, the texture was soft and fluffy, didn't shed crumbs everywhere, and was genuinely easy to eat — great both for taste and for eating on the go. I really liked this place.
Town Sandwich menu and prices: how much is a sandwich in Jamsil?
At Town Sandwich Jamsil Branch, a single sandwich is under ₩10,000, and even a set with soup or a drink stays in the low ₩10,000s. These days even a Subway half-size costs a basic ₩7,000...

But here, one thick, fresh, generously-filled sandwich came in under ₩10,000 on its own, which felt very reasonable.

There's a good variety of options too, and you can even request the sandwich cut into halves or thirds — great for people like me with a small mouth who need to eat in several bites. That's the kind of detail I appreciate! I'd never seen a place offer a three-way cut before.

Even with soup or a drink added as a set, the price doesn't go past the low ₩10,000s, so it works pretty much as a full meal.

Is Town Sandwich Jamsil good for eating alone?
Since it was my first visit, I figured I'd try the signature menu — the Town Sandwich and the truffle jambon-beurre. Planning to eat in, I looked around the shop and found it comfortable for solo dining, with a quiet space where I could eat at ease and feel genuinely relaxed.

I liked that it didn't feel like a hectic franchise. I ordered one as a set and one as a single item. All together it came to about ₩20,000, which felt fair.
The basic Town Sandwich, tasted

The basic Town Sandwich is loaded with fresh vegetables, tomato, ham, cheese, and a light spread of mustard sauce — a classic, can't-go-wrong combination of ingredients, packed generously. Each piece itself is thick and quite large.

The bakery here uses a house-developed baguette, and it felt quite different from the baguettes I knew before. It was clearly crisp, yet soft enough to bite into comfortably without hurting my mouth, savory, and it wrapped the fillings together really well.

It was light and fluffy, and really delicious. Above all, the ingredients were clearly managed well and fresh — the crisp, fresh texture of the vegetables was genuinely great.
Truffle jambon-beurre: what's inside

The truffle jambon-beurre (ham and butter baguette sandwich) had a lovely balance between the truffle aroma and the salty ham. And the price was around ₩8,000 — convenience store sandwiches run about ₩7,000 these days, so honestly, there's no reason not to get this...

It's also loaded with rocket (arugula), which makes it really fragrant... Personally, this was a place where the good ingredients, fresh quality, and price all came together nicely.

How the extra-shot Americano pairs with the sandwiches
I also ordered an Americano with an extra shot, and it was really strong haha. It had that heavy, nutty cold-brew feel, but even the regular coffee paired really well with the sandwiches!
The place seemed like it had only just opened... but I have a feeling it'll soon be getting a lot of group orders and solo diners alike. Personally, I'd give it a 100% revisit.
