If you want good-quality sushi at a reasonable price near Jamsil or Songpanaru, pay attention :)

Today I'm sharing my visit to Susi Seon (스시선), where all three things worked for me: fresh sushi, a generous set, and friendly service.
Sushi is all about the freshness of the fish and how it goes with the rice. At Susi Seon, the texture of each topping came through with every piece, which impressed me. The price isn't a burden either, so it's a handy place to know about when sushi cravings hit.
A good-value sushi restaurant near Songpanaru Station: what is Susi Seon Bangi Branch like?
Susi Seon Bangi Branch is a sushi restaurant in Bangi-dong, Songpa-gu, between Jamsil and Songpanaru Station, where you can get sushi and side dishes together for around ₩10,000-something. I was looking for a lunch spot in Bangi-dong and ended up here.

With eating-out prices these days, ordering sushi takes some thinking.... ㅠㅠ So I liked that Susi Seon lets you enjoy sushi plus several side dishes for about ₩10,000-something. A set like today's sushi, with lots of different kinds in one go, is something I'd recommend to sushi lovers.

Besides the diners eating in, I noticed delivery orders coming in steadily too. It's comfortable to eat in, and it's also a place you'd think of when you want sushi at home.
Susi Seon's 10-piece sushi for ₩17,000: what's in it and how does it taste?
The sushi I had at Susi Seon was a 10-piece set for ₩17,000 with a variety of toppings: flounder, raw salmon, sweet shrimp, vinegared shrimp, tuna and more. The best part of this meal was, hands down, the quality of the sushi!

It was a 10-piece set for ₩17,000 with tuna, flounder, raw salmon, sweet shrimp, vinegared shrimp and more.

With so many kinds, the taste and texture change depending on the order you eat them in, and the freshness overall was great at Susi Seon. Above all, the toppings had a nice springy bite.
From the first piece, flounder, to salmon and tuna
The first piece I ate was the white fish, flounder, and its chewy texture put me in a good mood from the very first bite.

The salmon melted softly in the mouth, and the onion and flying fish roe on top added a nutty, tangy note.

The tuna also kept its soft texture nicely.

Bouncy shrimp, then eel and the extra egg
The shrimp sushi had a bouncy spring to it, so it was satisfying to chew.

I ate the eel last, and its rich flavor with a different sauce was so good~~ I ordered 1 extra piece of egg, and it felt like quite a lot of food! haha The sea urchin roe was fresh too!
If you eat just one kind you can get tired of it quickly, but here you get a range of fish, so it stayed colorful at Susi Seon.
Does the Susi Seon set come with porridge, udon and soba too?
At Susi Seon Bangi Branch, besides the sushi you also get porridge, a salad with bibim noodles, and a noodle dish where you choose udon (thick wheat noodles) or soba (buckwheat noodles). What I liked about this Bangi-dong sushi spot is the variety of sides beyond the main dish.

I started the meal with soft porridge to settle my stomach, and now and then the tangy salad with bibim noodles woke up my appetite haha

You can also choose udon or soba, and my partner and I ordered one of each :)

The noodles were plump and the broth was salted just right~~ It wasn't a meal that ends with just rice; the whole table felt more generous.
How was the service at Susi Seon Bangi Branch?
The staff at Susi Seon Bangi Branch were comfortable and friendly throughout the meal, which became a reason I'd want to come back. Tasty food matters, but the service you feel in the restaurant was one of the reasons to return to Susi Seon.

They were comfortable and friendly the whole meal, which made the food quality feel even higher.

If you're craving sushi near Jamsil or Songpanaru and want a place that's good for the price, I'd recommend Susi Seon.

I've saved it as a place to come back to the next time I think of sushi.
