Daily Fix Seocho Gyodae Branch is a handmade burger favorite near Gyodae Station in Seocho, built on the philosophy that "a burger is a great dish too." It was the weekend, so I met up with a high school friend I hadn't seen in ages, had lunch here, and we both left totally satisfied.

What's the atmosphere at Daily Fix Seocho Gyodae Branch?

By day it's a trendy handmade burger place, and in the evening it feels like a pub where you can have a casual drink. The first thing that caught my eye the moment I walked in was the glasses displayed beautifully on the ceiling.

A variety of drinks were also neatly set out near the entrance, which gave the place a charming, pub-like vibe.

On the wall there's a painting of chefs seriously cooking burgers, and it really conveys the brand's idea that "a burger is cooking."

Self bar, group table and restroom

Near the entrance there's a tidy self bar where you can help yourself to water and pickled radish, which was handy.

At the very back of the shop there's a private 6-person group table, so it would be perfect for a get-together.

The restroom is outside the shop, on the right. It's separated for men and women and kept clean, so you can use it with peace of mind.

Daily Fix menu and what we ordered

Daily Fix's signature is burgers made with 150g patties of 100% hanwoo (Korean beef), but there were also chicken dishes and healthy sides. We sat down and studied the menu properly.

Why I paired the chicken burger with veggie sticks

I usually prefer chicken to beef, so I picked the chicken burger, and since I'm a fitness trainer, I thought about my health and ordered fresh veggie sticks (₩4,900) too.

Dipping the crunchy veggie sticks in mayo sauce left my mouth feeling clean and refreshed, which was lovely.

They say celery is high in water and low in calories, so it's good for weight control, and it also helps with blood pressure, inflammation and digestion. It's a nutritious vegetable and felt just right alongside a burger.

How do the bacon cheeseburger and 18 Fries taste?

The moment I bit into Daily Fix's bacon cheeseburger (₩12,900), the deep flavor of the handmade bacon, said to take 100 hours of care, and the juiciness of the 100% hanwoo patty burst in my mouth. The savory meat and the salty cheese go together so well that I instantly understood why a famous celebrity raved about it.

The 18 Fries, thanks to their thick 18mm cut, were crispy outside and soft and moist inside, a real work of art. They went really well with the refreshing, sweet grapefruit ade.

Overall verdict on our weekend lunch with a friend

It was a genuinely happy weekend lunch, enjoying high-quality handmade burgers in Gangnam's Seocho area with a friend I hadn't seen in a long time. The shop's atmosphere was pleasant too, so it was perfect for chatting.
