Gangseo taco restaurant near Magok Station: fajitas at Pasta Course

In short

Pasta Course is a taco restaurant near Magok Station in Gangseo, Seoul, serving fajitas, tacos, and pasta. My sibling and I shared the ₩45,000 fajita and seasoned-meat tomato pasta set on a weekday evening, and the build-your-own tacos were especially delicious and generous. Verdict: Pasta Course is a revisit-worthy pick for plenty of mild tacos.

I visited Pasta Course near Magok with my sibling on a weekday evening. It turned out to be a much more legit taco spot than I expected! I already love tacos and go out for them now and then, and this time we had a seriously generous meal, from fajitas to pasta. I’d especially recommend it as a lunch spot for Magok Station office workers or as food for a Seoul Botanic Park picnic~!

Introduction to visiting Pasta Course in Magok

Pasta Course location and reservations near Magok Station

Pasta Course is about a five-minute walk from Magok Station and about seven minutes on foot from the Gangseo Tax Office bus stop. For parking, use the underground lot in Ace Tower 2~ We made a reservation before visiting on a weekday evening. There were around five or six people eating when we arrived, and about two more groups came in while we were there.

Visit to Pasta Course restaurant

Reservations are available on weekday evenings and weekends, so I recommend calling ahead to ask before you visit!! The restaurant is not huge, so it would be especially wise to check in advance for a group gathering. The interior was neat, and the staff were kind, so we could eat comfortably~

What comes with the fajita and pasta set

We ordered the fajita + choice-of-one-menu set! We chose the seasoned-meat tomato pasta, and the set was ₩45,000. The fajitas look incredibly generous right from the start, don’t they?

Meat, shrimp, and other ingredients arrive all at once, along with salad, tortillas, and sauces, so you can make tacos exactly to your taste.

The taste of build-your-own tacos

Personally, I totally recommend the tacos! The meat + shrimp + tortilla combination worked so well, and there were lots of sauces too, so instead of eating the same flavor the whole time,

Tacos assembled with sauces

it was fun to customize each one little by little however I wanted. Pile plenty of meat into a tortilla, add shrimp, then finish with sauce and vegetables, and you have a proper meal! The seasoning was just right overall, so I really enjoyed it.

At first, when I heard there were eight tortillas, I thought, “Is that not going to be enough for two people?” I was very wrong, haha. The fajitas themselves were much more generous than expected, so as you busily wrap them up, you get full quickly...!!! I’m what you might call a petite big eater—I generally prefer having too much food to too little, hehe. So I actually loved that it came this generously. The two of us ate our hearts out, but we still ended up leaving a littleㅠㅠ (Next time, I’m finishing it all.)

Tacos with almost no heat

Also, the tacos were not spicy at all, so it would be fine to visit with someone who cannot eat spicy food. And I don’t just mean that I, someone who handles spice well, found them mild—it felt close to 0% spicy! You could take a spice-sensitive friend without any worries.

The seasoned-meat tomato pasta pairing

The seasoned-meat tomato pasta we ordered alongside was clean and easy to eat. Adding a pasta dish like this rather than ordering only tacos made it nice to switch to something different in between. If you want both fajitas and pasta, try ordering the set as we did.

Are takeaway and delivery available?

Pasta Course offers takeaway and delivery as well as dining in. While we were eating, takeaway and delivery orders came in, and people at the next table even ordered extra food to take home after their meal. That is why I’d recommend it as a lunch option for office workers near Magok Station, too. On a nice day, tacos or fajitas to take away for a Seoul Botanic Park picnic would be great. Next time, I might go for a run at Seoul Botanic Park and eat here or take it away afterward, haha.

Personally, I feel like I discovered a hidden gem and thought, “There was a taco place like this near Magok Station?” I absolutely want to return!! (I mean it.) I love delicious tacos, but they can sometimes get rich enough that I need to pause midway through. At Pasta Course, I paused not because they were rich, but because I was full from the portion, haha. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for great tacos near Magok Station, a Magok date spot, lunch for Magok office workers, or a good place to eat alone in Magok. If you are looking for something to take away on a Seoul Botanic Park outing, definitely visit Pasta Course in Magok at least once :)
