Haeundae Chinese restaurant for fresh tangsuyuk: Bueokgan Chinese

I saw Gwangan Bridge, ate something delicious, and took a walk around Marine City, too.

Eating jjamppong and tangsuyuk in Marine City

Marine City is one of Busan's well-known attractions. It's right between Gwangalli and Haeundae. People also call it one of Busan's affluent neighborhoods. Riz went to Bueokgan Chinese Marine City Branch for jjamppong and tangsuyuk.

Parking and heading up to the second floor

There is commercial parking in the building, so you can park there. After parking, come outside the building and look for the entrance to Bueokgan Chinese. I took the elevator to the second floor. There are stairs right beside it, too.

I was planning to see Convenience Store Fling 2 at 7:30 that evening, so I visited around 5. We sat at a table we liked. The ocean view was lovely, and with free parking available, I noticed lots of people coming for get-togethers, company dinners, and meals out.

The restroom is outside the restaurant, and the hand-washing area is in front of the entrance. Aprons are available, so please grab one.

Kiosk ordering and what we ordered

Now, let's take a look at the menu and decide what to eat. The kiosk is the menu, and you place your order there. If you need extra side dishes, cups, tissues, and so on, press the call-staff button.

Riz visited with a friend. Here's what we ordered.

• Small tangsuyuk ₩28,000
• Total ₩47,000

The basic sides were danmuji (pickled yellow radish) and jjajai (pickled mustard stem).

The seafood jjamppong and rice arrived first. Let's dig in!

The jjamppong noodles passed the test! The broth had a lightly smoky wok flavor, too. I also liked that it was filled with a variety of seafood, including squid, clams, and shrimp.

After finishing the jjamppong noodles, I added rice and ate it as jjamppongbap (rice in spicy seafood noodle soup). The tangsuyuk arrived a little later. It was piping hot. Fresh out of the fryer!

Ahh. Honestly, it was the real deal..

The tangsuyuk was delicious, and so was the sauce. Riz loves wood ear mushrooms, so I was happy there were lots of them in it. Heh.

I ate rice with the jjamppong broth as well, so it was a wonderfully filling meal. It was so good that I overate.. haha
