Siheung unlimited eel restaurant, three refills: Songrim Bok Jangeo
In short
Songrim Bok Jangeo Freshwater Eel Unlimited Refill Jeongwang Direct Branch is an unlimited eel restaurant in Siheung, Gyeonggi. I grilled large Korean Japanese eels over charcoal and went back for three refills. A great-value choice when you want to eat your fill of eel.

What was the unlimited eel near Jeongwang Station like?
On days like these, when I feel run-down and exhausted... I need something nourishing! So I went to Songrim Bok Jangeo Freshwater Eel Unlimited Refill Jeongwang Direct Branch, a great unlimited-eel spot in Siheung where you can enjoy Korean Japanese freshwater eel for just ₩29,900.
It is right in front of Jeongwang Station and has parking, so it is convenient whether you walk over or drive!

A spacious restaurant and the unlimited-refill terms
When I walked in, I was surprised by how huge the place was. It can seat more than 100 people, so it looked great for group gatherings and work dinners, too. We came around weekday lunchtime, so there were plenty of open tables, but I bet it gets packed with people coming for eel and a shot of soju after work in the evening!
At Songrim Bok Jangeo Freshwater Eel Unlimited Refill Jeongwang Direct Branch, unlimited refills for adults cost ₩29,900, with a separate ₩3,000 table-setting fee 🌟 Along with unlimited eel, there are meal options such as makguksu (buckwheat noodles), eel soup, and ramen, which is nice if you want to settle in and eat for a while.
But there is a two-hour time limit, so we were busy enough just eating eel and sadly only had eel... And eel is expensive, you know... I was shocked at how good the value was... If this were near my house, I would seriously go every week~👍 Owner, please open a branch in Cheolsan-dong too!

What is at the self-serve bar?
The self-serve bar has lettuce; side dishes including perilla leaves, pickled onions, aged kimchi, green-onion kimchi, garlic, ssamjang (seasoned soybean paste), ginger, and sauces; plus eel, pork belly, and chicken neck meat. The self-serve bar was very clean, and above all, I was surprised by how good the condition and quality of the meat were..! The trimmed eel pieces were large and looked fresh.

How to grill eel over charcoal
Once you sit down, the staff set out the side dishes, eel, pork belly, and chicken neck meat, then bring over the charcoal grill. For an extra ₩2,000, they will pre-grill it for you, but we just grilled it ourselves without the service and enjoyed it that way!

Large eel with almost no fishy smell
Wow... Look at that eel on the grill... Songrim Bok Jangeo, an unlimited-eel restaurant in Siheung, says it trims live eel fresh every day, and maybe that is why the eel was so fresh with almost no fishy smell. More than anything, I was surprised by how huge the pieces were haha.

The eel was thick and tender, with a moist texture in every bite. It browned nicely on the outside, giving it a lovely nutty flavor, while the eel's own mild yet rich taste came through beautifully. The sauce was sweet and salty with savory depth, which went perfectly with the eel, and there was even a gentle char-grilled aroma that made it even better~!
The flesh was not dry at all; it was springy yet soft, so I kept reaching for more. It had been a while since I had eaten such a proper, satisfying energy-boosting meal.

Wrapping eel with lettuce and pickled onions
The eel was also really good wrapped in lettuce. The fresh, fragrant lettuce balanced the eel's rich, nutty flavor, making it feel much cleaner. Add crunchy pickled onions, and their sweet-tangy taste cuts right through the richness, so I kept reaching for more!
It was delicious to place a piece of eel on lettuce and wrap it with pickled onions or garlic, too. The crisp texture and clean vegetable flavor of the lettuce made the soft, nutty eel feel even fresher.

Three refills and still delicious to the end
Best of all, it was unlimited refill, so I could eat as much as I wanted without worrying about the amount. I had about three refills... I think this was my first time eating so much eel that I felt like I would burst~😙 Eel can get tiring after a while, but instead of grilling too much at once, we grilled only what we could eat and had it straight away while warm, so it stayed delicious until the end!
Songrim Bok Jangeo Freshwater Eel Unlimited Refill Jeongwang Direct Branch may be an unlimited-refill restaurant, but the eel was extremely fresh, high quality, and had almost no fishy smell. Along with eel, there were pork belly and chicken neck meat to enjoy a variety of meats, and the side dishes were tasty too, so we could keep going back for more without getting tired of it 😙 It is somewhere I want to revisit again... Once again, owner, please open a Cheolsan branch too..💗💗💗
