Ttukseom dessert café for a weekday date: round mille-feuille, Notldun
In short
Notldun is a petit gâteau dessert café on Seoulsup 2-gil in Seongdong, Seoul, between Seoulsup Station and Ttukseom Station. On a weekday afternoon, the writer and her boyfriend ordered an iced Americano, a Wedding Imperial ade, a Salted Caramel Mille-feuille and a Pistachio Festival at Notldun; the crisp round mille-feuille and the rich pistachio filling stood out most. Notldun, a Ttukseom dessert café she had long wanted to visit, was well worth the wait.

There was a dessert café in Ttukseom I'd wanted to visit for ages, and since I happened to be in Seongsu, I finally went! It's Notldun, the Ttukseom dessert café. I think I saw it on social media once... I can't remember how I found it, but the desserts looked so high-quality and delicious that I never forgot it.
Where is Notldun?
Notldun is on Seoulsup 2-gil in Seongdong-gu, Seoul, on the 1st floor, which is half a floor up from street level. It sits between Seoulsup Station and Ttukseom Station, so either station works about equally well.

The dessert poster hanging outside Notldun was tempting me,,, haha. My mouth was watering.

What are Notldun's interior and seating like?
Inside, Notldun is a clean white tone, so the mood is calm and comfortable.

Notldun is perfectly placed for dropping in for dessert, whether after lunch in Seongsu or a date in Seoulsup when you want to sit and rest for a bit. The interior is small, but the tables are spaced widely, so it never felt cramped.

I visited on a weekday afternoon and about half the seats were taken, with the occasional takeout customer coming in.
What did we order at Notldun?

For drinks at Notldun, I ordered an iced Americano and a Wedding Imperial ade. Hardly any places sell Wedding Imperial (a type of tea), so I was happy Notldun has it.

Can you see them....?!??! Petit gâteaux (small French-style cakes) of every kind, from mousse cakes that look like they took a lot of work to mille-feuille! My taste is picky, so rather than plain, bland desserts, these labor-intensive, fussy desserts are totally my thing,,,🤭
Besides the many petit gâteaux, Notldun also has madeleines as baked goods, and they can be packed in a neat box, so they'd make a nice gift too. The desserts I ordered were two: the Pistachio Festival and the Salted Caramel Mille-feuille.
Salted Caramel Mille-feuille and Pistachio Festival

Ahh,, my dessert that I waited so long for,, of course the drinks and desserts came out quickly, I just mean it took me so long to get here to eat them 🤣 I'd been meaning to come since last year or the year before, and I'm only here now! Better late than never..haha
How is Notldun's iced Americano?

Notldun's iced Americano has a slight acidity and is light rather than heavy, so it pairs well with desserts. Coffee first, to chase away the heat,,, slurp, here I go!
What does the Wedding Imperial ade taste like?

Notldun's Wedding Imperial ade tastes just like Wedding Imperial, with a fizzy, prickly kick?! The carbonated water leaves a slightly bitter note at the end. I'd had high hopes for this one, since I love Wedding Imperial and was curious about an ade version.
Round Salted Caramel Mille-feuille: won't it be soggy?

After gulping down the drinks, time for dessert! Notldun's Salted Caramel Mille-feuille is uniquely round, and it's my first time eating a round mille-feuille🤭

Among the desserts I've tried lately, I hadn't found anywhere with really good mille-feuille, but Notldun is great! Honestly, other places gave me soggy pastry with no crispness at all... that kind of thing, but Notldun's Salted Caramel Mille-feuille is literally heavenly..😍

It's crisp all the way through, the softly melting chocolate wraps around your mouth, and the pastry texture coming through it is insane. If you're looking for a Seongsu dessert café or a Ttukseom date spot, I highly recommend Notldun, where your girlfriend will be full of praise!!!
Why is the Pistachio Festival called a 'festival'?

Honestly, I thought the mille-feuille was already out of this world, but something was even more so.... Notldun's Pistachio Festival. I thought the name was unusual, but one bite and you understand why it's a festival.

The pistachio throws a festival in your mouth, so how could you not eat it?! On the way to Notldun I read a Naver Map review where someone said they took a bite wondering if it was overpriced, thinking it was a wasted-money, wrong-choice kind of order, and the moment they ate it all those thoughts vanished. I relate to that person a hundred times over🥹
The Pistachio Festival melts softly in your mouth like a mousse cake, and the texture, rich and dense yet with crunchy pistachio bits, is beyond comparison. But texture aside, that pistachio jam(?) spread? filling? in the middle is the pure richness of the real ingredient that only people who've tried it know,,, just radiant,,,✨️
Honest review of Notldun: worth going back?

My boyfriend, who came with me, praised and praised Notldun's desserts, calling them the number one of everything he's ever eaten🤭 If you're looking for a great Seongsu dessert spot or a Ttukseom dessert café, don't hesitate, go to Notldun! It's a famous petit gâteau place, so it's also good for takeout as a gift.
