I was trying to figure out what to eat for lunch near Gangnam Station and was craving something that felt clean but still filling, so I headed to Ola Poke Gangnam haha. This time I ordered avocado poke and steak poke! The two menus had really different styles, so it was fun to try them side by side — a solid poke restaurant for lunch near Gangnam Station 💚

There are so many lunch options near Gangnam Station, but eating heavy stew, noodles, or meat every single time can feel like a lot. And you get sick of it too! That's when poke really hits the spot 💗 Compared to a regular salad with just vegetables, Ola Poke gives you grains and various toppings together, so it feels much more like a proper meal. Since one bowl is packed with a bunch of ingredients, you don't need to order extra sides to eat well. It seemed like a good spot for office workers near Gangnam Station looking for poke for lunch near Gangnam Station!

One thing I loved here — a great sauce pairing tip! I always agonize over which dressing goes with which poke whenever I go to a poke place, you know? But this poke restaurant for lunch near Gangnam Station, Ola Poke Gangnam, had recommended sauce pairings written out separately haha.

Ola Poke Gangnam has warm rooibos tea and lemon water set out separately, plus hair ties and mouthwash on hand.

Sometimes when I eat poke, the distinct smell of onion or other vegetables lingers in my mouth afterward ㅠㅠ But a poke place that even has mouthwash ready?! I really liked how thoughtful Ola Poke Gangnam was! 💗

Packed both bowls up neatly and headed home ~~ 💗
Avocado poke, 10,500 won
The avocado poke came with a big chunk of avocado right in the center, along with grains, chickpeas, corn, red onion, vegetables, and more. The visual alone won me over 💚

Even in the photos, you can see the ingredients aren't leaning toward just one thing haha. Especially with plenty of avocado on top — mashing it a little and mixing it with the other ingredients added a soft, nutty flavor that worked really well together. The crunchy topping on top added texture throughout, so it never got boring until the last bite! A great choice for a day when you want something clean and light rather than meaty haha.
Steak poke, 14,500 won
The steak poke had big chunks of steak piled generously on top of the grains and vegetables, and it looked filling just from the looks of it haha. This was the menu I was more excited about.

Poke has this image of leaving you hungry again soon after eating, right..!! But with steak added in, it definitely felt like a proper meal. Along with the steak, there were grains, chickpeas, corn, red onion, vegetables, pineapple, and more, so every bite had a different texture. I especially liked that it wasn't just meat the whole time — mixing in vegetables and grains in between kept it from feeling too heavy. If you're looking for poke for lunch near Gangnam Station but don't want something too light, steak poke is more your thing haha.
Avocado poke or steak poke: which should you order?
Ordering both at once made the difference in style really clear! Avocado poke felt soft, nutty, and clean overall, while steak poke felt heartier thanks to the meat. So it might be a good idea to pick based on how hungry you are that day 😃
This visit to Ola Poke Gangnam didn't feel like just eating vegetables — with grains and main toppings included, it was more filling than expected. I also liked being able to choose the main ingredient based on preference, like avocado or steak, haha. If you're looking for poke for lunch near Gangnam Station or want a lunch that's filling without being too heavy, give Ola Poke Gangnam a try 💚
