Can you eat at Dalmatian Starfield Suwon without a dog?

Dalmatian Starfield Suwon is a restaurant on the first floor of Starfield Suwon that allows pets inside. I went shopping at Starfield Suwon and stopped by Dalmatian on the first floor!

A lot of people visit Starfield with their dogs, and since Dalmatian allows pets, it's a great place to bring one along. Of course, like us, you can also just come for a regular meal without a dog :-)

The place is neatly kept overall, with dog illustrations and props here and there giving it that dog-friendly vibe ~

And what I personally liked was that even though it's a pet-friendly restaurant, there was barely any 🐾 animal smell and no noticeable fur flying around! So guests like us without a dog could still eat as comfortably as at a regular restaurant.

Rules for bringing your dog to Dalmatian

Per the store's policy, entry is allowed after checking whether the dog has its 🐾 rabies vaccination, and inside the store you can move while carrying your dog and use the 🐾 dog-only tables!

Large or aggressive breeds may be restricted from entry, so keep that in mind before visiting :-)

What Dalmatian provides for dogs

Along with strollers and pet strollers available in-store,

they also have dog water bowls, disposable gloves, hand sanitizer, and even waste bins ready for dogs.

Lemon water, cups, small plates, pickles, jalapeños and more are available to grab yourself at the self bar~

Complimentary bread before the meal

While waiting, the pre-meal bread came out first. It's Bushman bread with a cream cheese-style sauce — the bread was slightly crisp outside, soft and plain-tasting inside.

Spreading the soft cream cheese on the savory bread was so good it hurt,,! 🥖

The three dishes two people ordered

For two people we ordered steak, pasta, and pizza,,〰️ three dishes total haha

Panne pasta, 26,000 won

This is the panne pasta I personally enjoyed! Inside a round baked baguette bowl is a spicy, savory cream pasta packed full.

The cream sauce wasn't overly rich — since it has a bit of a spicy kick, the flavor stayed clean. The inside of the baguette bowl soaked up the cream sauce and turned moist and savory.

Shrimp and bacon are also in there, and the noodles were nice and chewy — right up my alley.

Flat iron steak 200g, 33,900 won

I ordered the 200g flat iron steak, cooked to about medium, so it still had a decent amount of juice!

It came with green peas, grilled king oyster mushroom, grilled tomato, salt, steak sauce, and whole-grain mustard, so you can mix and match to your taste ~

The meat itself had a clean, mild flavor, and pairing it with the whole-grain mustard — with the mustard seeds popping between your teeth — gave a sharp kick that cut through the richness ~~

Rosé bacon potato pizza, 25,000 won

This is Dalmatian's take on a thick rosé sauce topped with ranch sauce, savory potato, and salty bacon.

The soft, savory flavor of the rosé sauce combined with the ranch sauce gave the whole thing a creamy character. The potato was the highlight, in particular — a pizza where you get that crunchy potato bite among the soft toppings.

Add in the salty savoriness of the bacon and it becomes the kind of pizza you keep reaching for haha. The portion was bigger than expected, and you can pack up any leftovers to take home :-)

Is Dalmatian worth it for a pet-friendly meal in Suwon?

Dalmatian is mainly known as a dog-friendly restaurant at Starfield Suwon that people visit with their dogs, but it wasn't awkward at all visiting without one, like we did!

The place is spacious with plenty of seats, so it was easy to stop in for a meal while shopping. Dalmatian lets you dine with your dog and has decent facilities to match, so it's worth a visit if you're looking for a dog-friendly restaurant at Starfield Suwon :-)
