Cleansing balm for oily dehydrated skin: HEEDA Jirisan Charcoal
In short
HEEDA Jirisan Moist Charcoal Cleansing Balm is a Korean cleansing balm for oily, dehydrated skin. After rolling and emulsifying it, I found its makeup removal satisfying, though the solid balm needs cool storage. Verdict: a satisfying makeup-removing balm if you can keep it somewhere cool.

What were my concerns with oily, dehydrated skin?

I was concerned about blackheads and sebum around my nose and chin, as well as pores that looked more noticeable when I wore makeup. My skin is oily but dehydrated, so it felt both dry and oily after cleansing, which made choosing a cleanser difficult.

How did I use the HEEDA cleansing balm?

I scooped out an appropriate amount with the spatula and rolled it over my face. It felt like it melted softly, like sherbet, and I finished by adding water to emulsify it.

In my experience, it removed my eye makeup and lip makeup too. Even without following up with another cleanser, my face did not feel extremely tight or oily afterward.

How did it feel after cleansing?

As I kept using it, I felt that my blackheads and sebum became less noticeable than before. I was satisfied with the soft formula while rolling it over my skin and with how well it removed makeup.

What should you know before using it?

Because it is a solid formula, it may melt if it is not kept somewhere cool, which could feel inconvenient. Skin reactions vary from person to person, so it would be best to watch how your own skin responds when using it for the first time.
