Charcoal cleansing balm for makeup removal: HEEDA Jirisan

How were the texture and cleansing feel?

The balm inside its compact-like container was softer than I expected. When I applied pressure while scooping it out for the first time, the surface gave way deeply.

When removing color makeup, I felt it was fine without using separate lip-and-eye makeup remover. Since it contains charcoal, it felt as though it was adsorbing and washing away impurities deep in the pores, and my skin had a squeaky-clean feel afterward.

Did it leave skin feeling tight after washing?

Although the cleansing feel seemed strong, I did not feel facial tightness or dryness after washing. Of course, the feel may vary depending on your skin condition and the type of makeup you wear.

How did I use it?

• I scooped out an appropriate amount with the spatula and massaged it over my face for about 30 seconds.
• Once the balm melted with body heat and turned oil-like, I added water to emulsify it.
• I massaged carefully for about another 30 seconds, then rinsed.

Using this method, I felt one cleanse was enough. The original post also said it can be used like a body pack on areas with back acne or chest acne.
