Where did I go for a sushi lunch near Pusan National University?
I was near Pusan National University for the first time in a while and felt like sushi for lunch, so I stopped by Moshi Moshi (모시모시), a place I have visited for years. As before, the interior felt familiar, with natural wood and deep wood tones.

The window seats overlook the alley, making for a relaxed meal. The familiar interior also felt cozy.

What were the sashimi set meal price and menu choices?
I ordered from my seat using the table-order system. There were sushi platters and sets, sashimi, and à la carte dishes; this time, I chose the sashimi set meal, salmon and tuna sushi, and ramen.
- Sashimi set meal: 8 pieces of sushi, 8 pieces of sashimi, 3 tempura items, udon, vegetable salad, and tofu salad.
- Salmon and tuna sushi: 10 pieces of sushi, 3 tempura items, vegetable salad, and tofu salad.
- Ramen: I ordered it separately because I wanted something brothy.
The sashimi set meal was in the ₩30,000 range. With sashimi, sushi, tempura, udon, and salads, I felt it was a well-rounded lunch.

I chose the salmon and tuna sushi because it let me have both salmon and tuna, which I like.

Both dishes came with vegetable salad and tofu salad. I tend to get refills because I enjoy these salads, especially the tofu salad. The tempura included shrimp, kabocha squash, and sweet potato, and it stayed crisp even after cooling.

What flavor stood out most in the sashimi set meal?
The sashimi set meal was filling because it included several kinds of sushi as well as sashimi. I could alternate between smooth sushi and chewy ingredients.

The sashimi selection included soy-marinated shrimp, salmon, flounder belly, tuna, and flounder. The soy-marinated shrimp stood out in particular. I expected the familiar shrimp marinated in soy sauce, but the flesh was chewy and subtly sweet. Its sticky texture, reminiscent of doraji jeonggwa (candied bellflower root), stayed with me.
I added fresh wasabi to Japanese-style soy sauce and lightly dipped the tuna sushi. The ingredients tasted fresh, and choosing from the different kinds of sushi was enjoyable too.

Eating the tuna from the sashimi set meal plain made it easy to taste the tuna itself.

The flounder belly was pleasantly chewy, so I could savor it as I ate.

How were the tempura and separately ordered ramen?
The tempura was crisp, and I could clearly taste the shrimp, kabocha squash, and sweet potato individually. I was happy to have it between bites of sushi and sashimi.

I also ordered ramen because I wanted something brothy. When the sushi began to feel a little rich, the ramen broth balanced it well for my taste.

I had another filling lunch at Moshi Moshi, which I have visited for years. I was particularly satisfied with the sashimi set meal, which lets you have both sashimi and sushi, and the distinctive texture of the soy-marinated shrimp.
