Anguk lasagna restaurant: classic lasagna good even cold, Low Five
In short
Low Five Anguk is a pizza and pasta restaurant in a red-brick house on a Bukchon-ro alley in Jongno, Seoul, near Anguk Station Exit 2. The writer, a self-confessed lasagna lover, arrived at opening and ordered the classic lasagna (23,000 won), a corn and taco half-and-half pizza (27,000 won), San Pellegrino and a grapefruit ade; the classic lasagna at Low Five Anguk, packed with cheese and meat ragù, stayed delicious even after it cooled. Low Five Anguk fills up right at opening, so food arrives a little slowly, but the taste, atmosphere and service make it a Bukchon date restaurant worth revisiting.

Bukchon is the place to be when the weather is as nice as it is these days! Today I'm introducing Low Five Anguk (로우파이브 안국), a Bukchon restaurant where I had really delicious pizza and lasagna.
Where is Low Five Anguk, and what are the opening hours?
Low Five Anguk is at 20-3 Bukchon-ro, Jongno-gu, Seoul, on the 1st floor, a 3-minute walk from Anguk Station Exit 2. It's open Tue–Sun 11:30–21:00, with a break from 15:00 to 17:00 and last order at 19:30. It's closed on Mondays.

Walk straight out of Anguk Station and you'll see a red-brick house tucked into the alley. That's today's Bukchon pizza and lasagna spot, Low Five!
A red-brick building, a hanok (traditional Korean house) behind it, and a bright blue sky! It's a great backdrop for photos!

How does the waitlist at Low Five Anguk work?
Low Five Anguk doesn't take reservations; you get in only through the waitlist. In-person registration opens at 11:05 a.m. and 4:35 p.m., and mobile registration opens at 11:40 a.m. and 5:10 p.m.
It's so well known around Anguk Station and Bukchon that the waitlist opening times are posted right in front of the shop. The waitlist can be cancelled or closed early if ingredients run out, so it's best to go early, right? I went at opening, and there were already 4 groups ahead of us.
What is the atmosphere like at Low Five Anguk, and is it good for a date?
Low Five Anguk has a red-and-white interior with bright, cheerful lighting and understated touches of greenery, and the mood is just great. It's a perfect Bukchon date spot, and pizza and lasagna are perfect date food too~

The kitchen is open and kept tidy, and extra cutlery, wet wipes, Tabasco sauce and more are available at the self-serve bar. There are high chairs too, so it's good for a family meal if your kid eats Western food well~ [Talking about someone else... why did he have to get his dad's taste...]

Low Five Anguk menu and prices
Low Five Anguk has 8 pastas and 4 pizzas, and you can order pizza half-and-half. The menu is also posted at the entrance so you can choose while you wait.

Once you're seated, you can check the menu and order with the QR code on the table~ The QR menu has pictures too, which makes choosing easier. Price-wise, somewhere between cheap and expensive? Considering Bukchon is a tourist area, I think the prices are fine~!

What I ordered at Low Five Anguk
It's a pizza place, so I ordered a half corn, half taco pizza, plus one classic lasagna. [The one person who always orders lasagna wherever there's lasagna!]

Drinks: San Pellegrino and grapefruit ade
I'm kind of on a diet, so I picked sparkling water, San Pellegrino, as one of the drinks~ It had been a while since I last had San Pellegrino, and the little bottle was so cute~ But the taste? The grapefruit ade wins, of course, haha. Packed with pulp! Really rich and strong~

Classic lasagna for ₩23,000: is it still good once it cools?
The classic lasagna at Low Five Anguk is ₩23,000. Between the soft lasagna sheets there's tons of cheese and tons of meat ragu sauce! With so much cheese and meat it keeps you full for a long time, and it was nutty and full of flavor!

They said they'd reheat it if it cooled down, but it was good even cold, so we just ate it as it was.
Corn and taco half-and-half pizza for ₩27,000, plus the cilantro option
The corn and taco half-and-half pizza is ₩27,000. A half-and-half pizza is normally ₩26,000, but choosing taco adds ₩1,000.
You can choose whether to have cilantro on the taco pizza, and neither of us eats cilantro, so we ordered it without. If you like cilantro, there's an add-on option too, so keep that in mind.

It may not show in the photo, but the corn pizza has plenty of mushrooms, and it's sweet with a pop of corn texture and great flavor!
They told us the taco pizza tastes even better with Tabasco sauce and lime, so we sprinkled them on eagerly~ It really feels like eating a taco with pizza dough instead of a taco shell?! Sweet but with some spice, so you never get tired of it and it just disappears! So delicious~

Low Five Anguk verdict and downsides
Corn pizza, taco pizza, classic lasagna, even the grapefruit ade! Everything at Low Five Anguk was delicious, so it's a Bukchon restaurant where I want to try the other pizzas and pastas too.

If I have to find a downside, the place fills up almost right at opening, so the food takes a little while to come out. But the taste, the mood and the friendly service were all really satisfying, and it's a Bukchon and Anguk Station restaurant I'd love to revisit.
