I started my weekend morning fresh with outdoor yoga by the Han River with a friend, then went looking for a good place nearby and found Brivite Seongsu. The salad, the pasta, the gnocchi were all delicious and the mood is lovely too, so I'd happily recommend it as a Seongsu date spot!

Brivite Seongsu opening hours and how to book

Brivite Seongsu is open every day from 11:30 to 21:15, with last order at 20:30. You can reserve through Naver Reservation or Catch Table, so it would also be great for a first meeting with your partner's parents or a blind date.

How long is the weekend wait at Brivite Seongsu?

Brivite Seongsu is close to Ttukseom Station. Come out of Exit 2 or 3 and you're there in no time. The exterior is sooo pretty. The purple front door with the leafy greenery pots is a great combo 🌱 It was even nicer on such a sunny day.

We arrived around 12:30 on Saturday and there was already a wait . . ! There were about 2 groups ahead of us and the wait wasn't as long as I expected. It felt like 5 minutes? We got lucky and were seated quickly. It's a Seongsu restaurant that has a wait at peak times, so I recommend reserving before you go!

What is the atmosphere like at Brivite Seongsu?

When we walked in, the seats were completely packed with customers. The people at the next table happened to leave, so I snapped a photo of the empty table too.

The whole interior is so cute and pretty, the kind of place that wins over women's hearts . . ♥ It has exactly the vibe for a girls' catch-up over weekend lunch. Even with lots of people it isn't too noisy, so it was really nice for talking.

We were starving after morning yoga, so we ordered with gusto.

Even the basic tableware, wet wipes and tissues are prettily designed, which put me in a good mood haha

Brivite Seongsu has a self-serve bar, so you can get your own water and pickles. They even provide trays for carrying things, such a thoughtful touch haha The pickles are cucumber and cabbage, and they go perfectly with the pasta and gnocchi〰️

How is the Greek yogurt & tomato salad?

The cola I ordered came out first. Ice-clinking cola, love it. Then came the Greek yogurt & tomato salad. Wow, what is this. The looks alone hit my taste exactly haha My friend took one look at the salad and raved, "The mood and the menu here are both perfect!", which made me proud too haha

And it was as good as it looked, no, even way, waaay better than it looked. Like, it looks delicious and then you taste it and it's even better . . The marinated tomatoes with the basil sauce are insane together, and the Greek yogurt is just unfair,, If you like basil and tomato, you have to order this!!! And it's under ₩10,000, such good value ㅠ

How was the signature scallion cream corn gnocchi?

Brivite's signature dish, the scallion cream corn gnocchi (₩18,900). They say the gnocchi is 100% handmade, and wow, what is this . . It totally knocked me out from the looks alone.

Isn't it so pretty and appetizing? And the taste lived up to it: crispy outside, completely chewy inside, so good! The corn cream isn't too sweet and is nicely balanced, the kind of flavor where your fork just keeps going back.

Yorkshire pudding: worth one per person?

The Yorkshire pudding at Brivite Seongsu (₩1,500 each) is an English baked pudding, a bread meant to be eaten with cream sauce or soup. Dipping it in the corn gnocchi cream and the salad's yogurt cream was so good that I was glad we ordered one each haha

Is the spicy vongole oil pasta too greasy?

The last dish out was the spicy vongole oil pasta (₩17,900). It was a vongole (clam pasta) that was genuinely spicy like the name says, and the balance that cuts the oiliness was good.

Oil pasta can get heavy or tiresome, but with the spicy version I could keep eating endlessly haha This was also so delicious . . And the clams were big and good quality, and they put in plenty. The combination of dishes was so good that I'd want to order exactly the same next time!

The combo of gnocchi cream, Greek yogurt and Yorkshire pudding was so good that we practically did the dishes with it, wiping the plates clean

Clean plates, done. It was a really satisfying Western meal out, the first in a while!

Is Brivite Seongsu a good Seongsu date spot?

Brivite Seongsu has a pretty interior and a great mood, but it isn't one of those mass-produced social media hotspots. You can feel they're serious about food quality and taste, so I'd wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for a Seongsu date restaurant ♥
