Grabbing meat these days can get pretty expensive, so while looking for a good value spot in Luone City, I ended up at Euljiro Yeontan Gui. From the price to the taste, it was a satisfying find in Luone City.
Out front there's a tank full of fresh seafood that really catches your eye. So it's not just meat — you can enjoy fresh seafood here too.
Inside Euljiro Yeontan Gui and the outdoor tent seats
The interior of Euljiro Yeontan Gui is clean, with round tables that are great for grilling meat with a group. There were a lot of families in for a Luone City dinner out.
Toward the back there's also a spot with an outdoor-tent kind of vibe, and the atmosphere there is really nice haha.

It's really surprising that three servings of pork belly still come in under 20,000 won. A great Luone City meat restaurant to hit up when eating out prices these days feel like a lot.
How to grill the 6,400-won pork belly over charcoal
I grilled the pork belly on the charcoal fire first at Euljiro Yeontan Gui. True to a good charcoal BBQ spot, the heat was seriously strong 👍 The high heat cooks the meat fast, but that also means it can burn easily, so the key is flipping it often.

The parts touching the charcoal turn golden-brown first, and that savory smell rises up — my stomach was growling (/≧▽≦)/ I kept flipping it so it wouldn't cook unevenly under such strong heat.
Of course the first bite has to be a wrap. Grilled golden-brown over charcoal, it was so good.
Also great with pickled onions and wasabi 👍
Pork belly is delicious plain, of course, but it's even better with the side dishes haha.
What does the marinated beef short rib meat taste like?
Next up, marinated beef ribs. The Euljiro Yeontan Gui version comes coated in a sweet rib marinade, piled high with scallions and garlic — it looked delicious just from the visual.

The moment it hits the grill, the sweet aroma of the marinade mixed with the smell of grilling meat is incredible. Especially with the scallions and garlic cooking alongside the meat, the aroma deepens and really brings out the flavor of the beef ribs ㅟ(≧◇≦)ㄏ Since it's marinated, it's important to keep flipping it so it doesn't burn on the charcoal.
The beef ribs were so tender, and with the sweet rib marinade added in, it's a flavor pretty much everyone would like. The seasoning isn't so strong that it overpowers the meat — it's a balanced sweet-and-salty flavor that kept me reaching for more.
Eating it right when it turned golden-brown, the juices were still there and the tenderness really came through.
Finishing with 5,000-won naengmyeon (cold noodles)
You can't skip the refreshing cold noodles 😊 The cold noodles at Euljiro Yeontan Gui are 5,000 won and the portion is quite generous. The chilled, slushy broth washes away all the grease from the meat.
Enjoying it along with the beef ribs ❤ a happy bite all the way to the finish.
