Ganghwa duck restaurant with potato pancake: Deok Ori Jumulleok
In short
Deok Ori Jumulleok (덕오리주물럭) Ganghwa Main Branch is a duck restaurant near Jeondeungsa Temple in Ganghwa, Incheon. We ordered duck roast with extra rice cakes, potato pancake, and fried rice with the kids; the pre-grilling made it clean-tasting without any gamey smell. A great family stop after a Ganghwa outing!

In Ganghwa, my friend and I rented and wore Goryeo-era hanbok too, completing missions and having such a fun time!! We even tried the Sochang Stamp Mission! *_* Food before sightseeing! The sun was setting, and it was time for dinner!!! We visited Deok Ori Jumulleok (덕오리주물럭) Ganghwa Main Branch, a popular spot near Jeondeungsa Temple in Ganghwa.

What to check before visiting
It is at 121 Manisan-ro, Gilsang-myeon, Ganghwa-gun, Incheon, and parking is available. With its large parking lot, it seems like a great place to stop by on a Ganghwa outing!
Deok Ori Jumulleok Ganghwa Main Branch says it ages and sells only a set amount of meat each day to maintain freshness and flavor. Once that day's meat is sold out, service ends, so it is best to call ahead before visiting!

Deok Ori Jumulleok, a Ganghwa restaurant near Jeondeungsa Temple that has even been on TV! They say you can enjoy aged fresh duck slaughtered that day with a special sauce from a master who has run duck restaurants for decades.

Duck roast and potato pancake chosen with the kids
Since we came with the kids, we decided to save the jumulleok (spicy marinated stir-fry) for next time and enjoy ori roseu (plain duck roast) instead. We also ordered a potato pancake the kids would surely like!

They do not use MSG, so this would be such a nice place to enjoy neat, country-style food! The duck is pre-grilled over charcoal briquettes, which means you can enjoy that deep, rich smoky flavor too!! *_*

Because they start pre-grilling as soon as you order, there is a wait. And since pre-grilling is available from two servings, the minimum order is two servings!

They are also running a Naver receipt-review event, so it might be nice to try it! *_* You can get one serving of fried rice for free—ohhh, how great is that?!

First, the grill at Deok Ori Jumulleok, the popular restaurant near Jeondeungsa Temple in Ganghwa, was set up!

The side dishes came out so neatly too. Wow~ just looking at them, I could tell we were going to have a delicious meal!

If you need more side dishes, you can ask at the spot marked “here.” Dongchimi (radish water kimchi) and pickled radish wraps are self-serve! I love the pickled radish wraps, so I was really happy they were self-serve! *_*

While waiting for the food, the kids drew pictures and played bingo!

They grill it separately in the pre-grilling area, so we could enjoy the duck roast even more deliciously!

Duck roast piled high with perilla leaves
The potato pancake came out too!!! And so did the pre-grilled duck roast! Oh my goodness~ we added rice cakes, and there were loads of delicious rice cakes in it, making it even tastier! There were potatoes and kabocha squash too, which was perfect for me because I love starchy root vegetables! And lots of mushrooms that I love as well!!
The pre-grilled duck roast! It was topped with a huge pile of perilla leaves, making it even more delicious. I love perilla leaves, so I was beyond happy! *_*

They grill it nicely and explain that it is ready once the meat turns golden brown!

So glossy~ oh my goodness, it looked unbelievably delicious! *_* We came to Ganghwa for a fun outing and ended up nourishing ourselves too!!

There are lots of extras you can add, so it would be nice to choose whatever suits your taste!

From potato pancake to fried rice
We started by digging into the potato pancake!

Wow~ it really is a great restaurant near Jeondeungsa Temple in Ganghwa! So, so delicious~ It somehow tasted even better wrapped up in ssam (leaf wraps)!!

Adding the rice cakes was such a good choice! The kids ate the rice cakes so well too, hahaha.

We happily ate duck roast wrapped in ssam!

Once about one-third is left, you can fry rice in it, and we mixed in two bowls!! This is it! That irresistible guilty-pleasure flavor!!! Wow~ with kimchi in it too, it was so delicious!
It is 15 minutes from Chojidaegyo Bridge, 10 minutes from Ganghwa Luge, and 10 minutes from Manisan in Ganghwa, so it seems like a nice restaurant near Jeondeungsa Temple to seek out if you are on a Ganghwa trip, drive, or date!! Perhaps because it comes pre-grilled, I recommend Deok Ori Jumulleok for its clean, mild taste without any gamey smell! It felt so good to get a nourishing meal too!
There are outdoor tables, so we had snacks and chatted again while the kids played!! It seems like a great place to visit with children!
