A drink with the Ingye-dong night view through floor-to-ceiling windows 🍷 The scenery before sunset and the mood after dark were both perfect ✨ The puffed-rice chicken is the king of crunch, the seafood nurungji (scorched rice) soup is the king of generous portions 🔥 Truffle Hunter Cabernet Sauvignon made the night even more special ❤️ The terrace was gorgeous too, so I came home with hundreds of photos from this Ingye-dong wine bar!

Where is Raon Asian Dining Bar, and is there parking?
Raon Asian Dining Bar (라온 아시안 다이닝 바) is on the 11th floor of the Usung Building on Nahyeseok Street in Suwon, and you can use the building's mechanical parking. I kept thinking I wanted a glass of wine somewhere with a nice atmosphere, so I visited with friends. Long story short, I understood right away why so many people recommend it as an Ingye-dong wine bar! The mechanical parking made it easy to come by car, and my excitement shot up the moment the elevator took me up to the 11th floor.

A Suwon wine bar and drinking spot on Nahyeseok Street, on the 11th floor of the Usung Building. The view is really great, and the building's mechanical parking is easy to use.

What is the floor-to-ceiling window atmosphere like in the daytime?
If you go during the day, the wide floor-to-ceiling windows open onto a refreshing view of downtown Suwon, and the good natural light makes the space feel stylish and upscale. Kyaa, exactly the window-bar vibe I'd seen on Instagram! The high ceilings and black-toned interior create a calm yet atmospheric space, and every seat in front of the windows gave pretty photos. Maybe that's why there were lots of couples on dates and groups of friends. If you find it by searching for Ingye-dong wine bar recommendations, the atmosphere alone is enough to satisfy you.

How was the Truffle Hunter Leda Cabernet Sauvignon?
The wine I ordered at Raon Asian Dining Bar that day was the Truffle Hunter Leda Cabernet Sauvignon. It's a style even people who don't know much about wine can enjoy without pressure, and everyone in my group was happy with it. It isn't overly heavy, and the moderate body and smooth finish went well with all kinds of dishes. Sipping a glass while looking out at the night view just put me in a good mood.

How varied are the menu and drinks?
The food menu at Raon Asian Dining Bar is hugely varied. There's Western, Chinese and fusion food, from small plates to proper full dishes. So much choice!

It's a wine bar, but besides wine there's also non-alcoholic wine, cocktails, traditional Korean liquor and beer, so the drink choices are very wide.

The Nahyeseok Sunset cocktail and a mojito, drunk at this Nahyeseok Street wine bar in Suwon. Ahh!

How do the mentaiko basil pasta and puffed-rice chicken tenders taste?
The mentaiko (spicy pollock roe) basil pasta was so good! The fragrance of basil and the savory depth of the roe blended together so well that I kept reaching for more. It wasn't greasy but clean, which made it great as a snack with wine.
And the dish that impressed me most personally was the puffed-rice chicken tenders! The crunchy puffed-rice texture made it fun to chew, and the outside was crisp while the inside stayed juicy, so I really enjoyed it. I'd definitely order it again next time. It suits summer.

Dishes that looked amazing and tasted good too ♡ The signature puffed-rice chicken tenders and the hearty seafood nurungji soup.

How were the hearty seafood nurungji soup and fried eggplant?
True to its name, the hearty seafood nurungji soup at Raon Asian Dining Bar is packed with seafood, generous just to look at, and the broth was slightly spicy with a clean aftertaste that I loved. It's good as a drinking snack and good enough to stand in for a meal. With shrimp, squid, clams and other seafood in it, eating it was fun, and the nutty flavor of the scorched rice went well with the broth.
The fried eggplant was crispy and moist too!

Finally, we added fried eggplant as a snack, plus steamed rice.

The wine we picked that day! A mild red wine ♡

What is the terrace night view like after dark?
Once it's fully dark, Raon Asian Dining Bar turns into a different mood, with the sparkling Ingye-dong night view spread out beyond the windows. It's great for photos too. The view from the terrace in particular made me gasp. Hold a wine glass and snap a photo and you'll get a moody once-in-a-lifetime shot! Maybe that's why there were many couples on dates, and it looked good for birthdays and anniversaries too.
I didn't have to worry about parking either, since the building has mechanical parking, so coming by car was easy. It's in the middle of Nahyeseok Street, so it's easy to get to, and I was satisfied with the atmosphere, the food and the wine.

With the night view, the terrace seats were so gorgeous that I came home with lots of once-in-a-lifetime photos.
Is it worth going back?
If you're looking for a place to enjoy good wine, great food and a wonderful night view all at once, put Raon Asian Dining Bar on your Ingye-dong wine bar recommendation list. I plan to visit again soon and try the other dishes one by one. It was a really satisfying wine bar that made me think "I want to go again" for the first time in a while. ♡♡
