I went to Sushi House, famous as a great-value conveyor sushi spot in Beomgye~

Sushi House location, parking and reservations
Sushi House is 222 m from Beomgye Station Exit 3, on the 2nd floor of the Kongbul building behind Bomgbit Hospital. You can park in the building, and they offer 1 hour of free parking, so it's easy to get to.
You can reserve through Tabling, and since it's famous as a Beomgye lunch spot, I'd recommend booking before you go on weekends. That said, even without a reservation the restaurant is big and turns tables quickly, so the wait isn't usually long.

Seating inside Sushi House and the belt at dinner
Inside there are bar counter seats and table seats! There were two of us, so we sat at the counter.
It's known as a Beomgye lunch spot, but I tried it in the evening. Even late at night there were lots of kinds of sushi, stacked two plates high.

At other conveyor sushi places in the evening, the belt has fewer plates and fewer kinds, so you end up having to order separately, which is a hassle. At Sushi House the belt was packed full, so it was easy to pick what I wanted 😊

Soy sauce, ginger, rakkyo (pickled scallions) and wasabi sit on every table, and they also bring out a clear soup.

Live-fish sushi at Sushi House: how were the flatfish and salmon?
Look how many kinds of sushi there are! They keep live fish in the restaurant's tank and say they make the sushi from fresh fish prepared every day. There's also a premium line with bluefin tuna, sea urchin and more.
I started with the flatfish (halibut) sushi, a live-fish piece, rather than anything heavily seasoned. Maybe because the fish is sliced straight from the tank, it was extra chewy and fresh 🐟

The salmon sushi was thick-cut too, soft and rich with no fishy taste 🧡

The turban shell sushi was nicely boiled and chewy with no fishy taste, and dipped in soy sauce it was delicious.

I'd never seen abalone sushi before, and it had a whole pricey abalone on top, so it was delicious 😋

Garlic eel sushi, ordered by QR when it's not on the belt
The garlic eel sushi was an unusual item: nicely grilled eel topped with garlic flakes. The well-glazed eel was plump and boneless, and the garlic flakes made the texture even better.
I ordered the garlic eel sushi by QR code! Even if a sushi isn't on the belt, you can look at the menu, order on your phone right at your seat, and the chef makes it and brings it over personally~

Aged kimchi sushi for when things get heavy
Sushi House has a variety of sushi topped with aged kimchi, which is perfect for a refreshing bite once you start feeling full and greasy. I had the aged kimchi live-fish sushi,

and also the aged kimchi swordfish sushi~ Both go really well with the kimchi and were delicious 😋

Yukhoe sushi at a conveyor sushi place? I had two bowls
I don't normally eat yukhoe (Korean beef tartare) at conveyor sushi places, but Sushi House's looked so good that I tried it. The fish sushi is great, but the yukhoe is amazing too!
The yukhoe is piled so high you can't even see the rice, it's seasoned with pepper so it tasted even better, and the chewy texture was great. I ate two bowls~ 👍

Besides the yukhoe, the yukhoe tataki was crispy outside and juicy inside, and the topping sauce and the seasoning on the beef were bold, so it was punchy and tasty.

Squid sushi and scallop sushi
Squid sushi is a no-fail choice wherever you eat it~ Sushi House's squid was chewy and springy too, with a great texture.

The scallop came out warmed, and it was soft, not tough. Plenty of places serve tough scallops if you get unlucky, but Sushi House's was tender.
