Korean beef date night at a Daejeon Doan hanwoo BBQ: Worang Myeongga
Worang Myeongga Daejeon Doan Branch is a hanwoo (Korean beef) grill restaurant in Seo-gu, Daejeon, where you pick your cuts from a showcase at the entrance and grill them yourself over charcoal in a private room. On a dinner date with her boyfriend, the writer chose the mixed hanwoo platter, which came with a full spread of beef tartare, tripe, salted pollack roe, seasoned crab, beef soup, steamed egg, plus a self-serve bar for lettuce and fruit. The beef melted in her mouth fresh off the charcoal, and with so many private rooms, the place also suits group dinners.
