What does Angry Potato serve?

Angry Potato sells light bites like all kinds of potato dishes and chicken. They say they use 100% domestic Dubaek potatoes and no chemical additives at all, so it's food you can trust.

Potato dishes are the main act here, and potato chips, Chewy Potato (쫀득감자) and fries are the signatures. They also sell chicken, burgers and other things that go well with potatoes.

I liked that you can pair the fries, chips, Chewy Potato and chicken with all kinds of sauces. You drizzle whatever you want at the free sauce bar, and figuring out which sauces suit your taste was fun too.

That day I ordered Hot Crunch Chicken (5 pieces) and the Deep Crunch Box. The Deep Crunch Box comes with Hot Crunch Chicken, a mini burger, Chili's cheese sticks and fries.

I couldn't bring myself to order just one or two things, so I went for the Deep Crunch Box to taste a bit of everything. Hot Crunch Chicken, a mini burger, Chili's cheese sticks and fries. Totally generous, right?

The Deep Crunch Box includes one mini burger, and you can choose the type, so I went with the shrimp burger.

Takeout for a picnic, the ballpark or a CGV movie

The chicken is packed so it's easy to eat, so it'd be good to carry to a picnic or a baseball game. There's also a CGV in Hyundai Department Store Jungdong, so grabbing a Deep Crunch Box instead of popcorn for a movie seems like a decent idea too.

How did each Angry Potato item taste?

Hot Crunch Chicken: spicy beer food

Like the fries, the Hot Crunch Chicken is crispy outside and juicy inside, and the spicy flavor is perfect beer food. It was better than most chicken restaurants.

Chewy Potato: my favorite

The Chewy Potato was my favorite. Can a potato really be this chewy, like rice cake (tteok)? I don't need to go to Gangneung for chewy potatoes anymore. With all the different sauces on top, it got even better.

Fries: gone in a flash with the sauces

The crispy-outside, juicy-inside fries vanished in no time too. With the sauces you get a different flavor each time, so you never get tired of them. These all really make you think of beer.

Chili's cheese sticks: spicy heat and savory cheese

The Chili's cheese sticks are seasoned with a spicy sauce, and the heat and the savory cheese work together to make them even tastier. I think they'd go well with the shakes Angry Potato sells too.

Is Angry Potato at Hyundai Department Store Jungdong worth recommending?

One of the good things about Angry Potato is how easy it is to eat. With this kind of nice outing weather, I'd recommend it as takeout.
