There are those days when you just crave pizza, right? The weather was perfect for pizza and beer, so I went looking for a place with great pizza and a cold brew. I heard there's a good pizza place near Bucheon City Hall Station, so I went to check it out. Today I'm introducing Cheesewave Bucheon City Hall (치즈웨이브 부천시청점), a pizza favorite near Bucheon City Hall.

Where is Cheesewave Bucheon City Hall?

Cheesewave Bucheon City Hall is about 100 meters from Exit 2 of Bucheon City Hall Station. It's close to Bucheon Hyundai Department Store and E-Mart too, so it's easy to get to.

The red signboard and the trendy-looking interior caught my eye right away. The long opening hours are another plus, since you can drop in whenever you like.

Can you have pizza and beer on the terrace at Cheesewave Bucheon City Hall?

Yes! You can eat on the terrace in front of the shop, so outdoor pizza and beer (yajang, an open-air drinking spot) is possible. I really loved being able to do that.

Pizza and beer is just right for weather like this. I'd definitely recommend pizza on the terrace.

How do you order, and what pizzas are on the menu?

You scan the QR code on the table and view the menu and order on your own phone. More and more places link a QR code to the menu these days.

It was convenient to see the menu and order from my own phone at Cheesewave. I also liked having time to scroll through slowly and agonize over what to eat.

The menu has a wide range of pizzas: combination, bacon cheddar cheese, bulgogi pizza, sweet potato pizza, cheese pizza, Hawaiian pizza and more.

What are the interior and the wait like?

You can eat inside too, and the space has a mood that's just right for a date. There may be a wait at mealtimes, so if you want to eat without waiting, I'd suggest coming a little early.

The self-serve pickles are seriously delicious

Pickles and tableware are self-serve, and the pickles were honestly amazing. I lost count of how many times I went to get more while finishing the whole pizza. They aren't harsh or strong, so you just keep wanting more.

How were the pepperoni-bulgogi half-and-half pizza and draft beer?

What I ordered that day was a half-and-half pizza and Red Rock draft beer.

You can order half-and-half pizzas here. Sometimes you want to try two flavors and can't, right? Having a half-and-half option so you can taste both is great.

After much deliberation, my half-and-half was pepperoni and bulgogi pizza! I picked pepperoni because I wanted something that goes well with beer.

Pepperoni and beer was such a good combination. The chewy, mild cheese tasted especially good on this pizza.

Crispy dough with sweet potato mousse added

Even the dough was crispy, so I could enjoy it right to the end. Adding sweet potato mousse brought a sweet note that suited my taste.

The pepperoni felt like a snack pizza that pairs well with beer, while the bulgogi pizza had a rich, meal-like flavor. I really liked that I could enjoy both, half and half.

Is Cheesewave Bucheon City Hall worth going back to?

Above all, I liked how friendly the owner was. The clean interior, the owner's kindness and the tasty pizza were all perfect. It was a meal with nothing missing, which made it an even happier time.
