This is MIMI Coffee Mill (미미커피방앗간), a café in Dangjin, Chungnam. Some days you just want to get out of the city for a trip, right? I went on a day trip to Dangjin, which is perfect for that. Coffee is a must on any outing, and I'm introducing MIMI Coffee Mill, where the menu of grain-based items really stood out.

Where is MIMI Coffee Mill in Dangjin, and is there parking?

MIMI Coffee Mill is at 1064 Nambu-ro, Sunseong-myeon, Dangjin-si, Chungnam, and you can park for free in front of the café. It's not far from Dangjin's tourist spots, so the location is handy. The free parking out front has plenty of room, so it's easy to relax and enjoy your time without worrying.

Outside MIMI Coffee Mill there's a cute outdoor area where you can feel the quiet of the countryside. It was healing all by itself. I had only been thinking about the interior, so I loved finding such a charming space outside too. A cup of coffee while soaking in nature with your whole body, just thinking about it is pure healing, isn't it?

Is MIMI Coffee Mill's interior good for dates and group gatherings?

The interior of MIMI Coffee Mill is spacious, with tables of different sizes, so it looks fine for a date or a group gathering. There are cute little props here and there that caught my eye. There are spots that could work as photo zones, so it's good for taking pictures, and I liked the modern, stylish interior too.

As the name (a bangatgan is a traditional Korean mill) suggests, MIMI Coffee Mill is a café with a mill concept, and the menu items made from grains were fun. I also trust that they'd use Dangjin's good grains for the menu.

MIMI Coffee Mill sells a wide range of bakery items on top of coffee and drinks. The shelves were full of tasty-looking sandwiches, macarons, butter bars, cookies and more. From things kids would like to things adults would like, nearly everyone is covered, so I think it's a good café for family gatherings too. Visiting MIMI Coffee Mill after a family outing would be just right, wouldn't it?

How to drink the signature MIMI cream latte

The MIMI cream latte is MIMI Coffee Mill's signature menu item, and I heard it's best to drink the cream on top and the coffee together in one sip. I drank it the way the staff explained, and it was a perfect cup: the sweet, nutty cream first, then the coffee's flavor at the end.

Lemonade and yogurt smoothie at MIMI Coffee Mill

I also enjoyed a cool lemonade with dessert, which suits a summer day.

I ordered MIMI Coffee Mill's yogurt smoothie too, for something icy. The yogurt flavor was just right, neither too sweet nor too weak, and I liked it. It's a refreshing choice after a meal.

What does the Dangjin bean soft tofu ice cream taste like?

The Dangjin bean soft tofu ice cream (sundubu, soft tofu) is MIMI Coffee Mill's bean ice cream, made with Dangjin beans. It's an unfamiliar kind of ice cream, but since it uses Dangjin beans I wanted to try it. Ice cream made from beans looks kind of special and sounds healthy too, doesn't it?

I put the toppings that came with it on the ice cream and ate it that way.

The soft tofu ice cream is nutty on its own, and with the toppings the nuttiness doubled.

This is the lemon butter bar, wrapped in cute packaging. You can feel MIMI Coffee Mill's sense of style just from the wrapping, right?

I usually like tangy foods, so I ordered the lemon butter bar. The balance of fresh lemon and the sweetness of the dessert went well with coffee too.
