Bingsu (Korean shaved ice) season is here!!!! With the heat and humidity in full swing, bingsu is the thing I crave even more than a meal~ And a caffeine top-up after eating is a must, so I had a hot americano AND a cool mango bingsu, haha. Both the coffee and the bingsu were so good at this Jamsil Saenae café, Young Coffee Jamsil Trizium :)

Where is Young Coffee Jamsil Trizium, and where do you park?

Young Coffee Jamsil Trizium is at 30 Baekjegobun-ro 19-gil, Songpa-gu, Seoul, on the 1st floor, and you can park in the spaces in front of the shop. Just don't block the entrance^^ The exterior looks refreshing just from the outside!!! That blue Young Coffee color stands out even from far away!

Young Coffee takes 30% off on the 10th, 20th and 30th of every month, so even the large 1.1L bottle is a good deal! A clever event to match the name (Young Coffee, with the 'young' sounding like the Korean for zero-ten...) ~~

Young Coffee is a coffee and dessert spot from Busan!!! And I'm a Busan girl myself, so no wonder I felt like coming here~ haha

When the weather is nice, there are also seats for 2 outside Young Coffee Jamsil Trizium :) The windows have a pattern of stickers on them, so the interior looks pretty~ heh

Inside Young Coffee Jamsil Trizium: atmosphere and seating

The inside of Young Coffee Jamsil Trizium is white with blue accents, so it felt cool and clean!!! There are lots of seats, so it's great for groups too~ And it was so clean, I loved that!

They sell coffee beans and tumblers too! I tried the coffee and the Young Coffee beans were nutty and rich, which I liked~ There's decaf as well :)

Young Coffee Jamsil Trizium has fruit bingsu galore, including watermelon, strawberry shell melon, tomato and fresh mango, and the fresh mango bingsu is sold for ₩9,900 to only the first 10 bowls a day. Bingsu is a must in summer~! Once you see the fresh mango bingsu, you're going to eat it, no question. My sister and I were lucky winners of one of those 10 bowls a day at the great-value price of ₩9,900~ A weekday café date has perks like this!

Besides coffee, there's a really wide range of ades, smoothies and other non-coffee drinks, so even people who can't drink coffee can visit without worry~~

Does a hot americano go with bingsu?

Fresh mango bingsu with a hot americano is a much better combo than you'd expect~ haha. We came right after a meal, and on a slightly gloomy day, hot coffee it is~ heh

Pastry cream walnut cakes

Young Coffee has lots of pastry desserts, and the bite-sized cream walnut cakes (hodu-gwaja, walnut-shaped cakes filled with cream) were perfect to have with coffee! While the bingsu is being made, you have to get your caffeine in first with a dessert and coffee!

Nutty walnut, smooth custard cream, and a layered pastry texture! Nutty and sweet, totally my style! The crisp, flaky pastry walnut cakes... I want them again, heh

A perfect match with coffee, no doubt about it~~ If you drink coffee hot, you can really tell what the beans taste like~ Young Coffee beans pass! No sourness and a great body~~!

How was the Young Coffee fresh mango bingsu?

And now, the star arrives~!!! These days so many cafés serve fresh mango bingsu because everyone loves it! Sweet, ripe mango on cool milk bingsu is a summer classic that puts me in a good mood just looking at it.

I added cube cheese, clever, right? haha. Generous amounts of ripe yellow fresh mango are piled on~ I couldn't help exclaiming at the look of it~~

A well-ripened fresh mango bingsu!!! A whole sweet fresh mango goes on top, and it's ₩9,900. Best value, and the taste is even better~~~ Sliced very thin and layered, it melts softly in your mouth, and with the first bite sweet juice fills your mouth!! And the subtle tartness was really appealing~

The sweetness melts away, and the nuttiness of the cheese on top sends my sugar-charge gauge up~~~ How is it so good~! It's not an artificial sweetness; you can taste the natural flavor of the mango, which made it even more satisfying! Fresh mango is something you should eat plenty of while you can! I was happy and it made me even happier~ hahaha
