Yongin seafood restaurant: first live octopus, minari stew, Mr. Squid

Mr. Squid Yongin Bojeong Branch is a sashimi and seafood restaurant one block behind the main street of Bojeong-dong Cafe Street in Giheung-gu, Yongin. On a 5 p.m. reservation, the writer ordered the live octopus sashimi set with crispy fried squid and assorted sashimi, tried live octopus (sannakji) for the first time, and finished with a spicy fish stew loaded with minari (water dropwort). Paired with a stroll along Bojeong-dong Cafe Street, Mr. Squid is a solid pick for a family dinner or a get-together with friends.

Verdict: Mellows is a Seongsu ice cream café whose prices feel light for the taste and quality, which is what earned it a second visit.

Manmok's moist, charcoal-scented eel went best with sancho pepper and ginger vinegar.
