Jungnang chicken shop serving kadayif shrimp & chicken: Daroa

Daroa Dongbu Market Branch is a chicken, burger and bread shop inside Dongbu Market in Jungnang-gu, Seoul. The new Irowun Kadayif Shrimp & Chicken, a Thick Hamburg Patty burger and an Egg Cheese Bulgogi Burger made one meal for three — a baby, a husband and me — and the kadayif chicken was crisp outside and juicy inside, so even the baby ate it happily. Parking is at Sambo Bowling Center in the alley across from the shop, 1,000 won per 20 minutes.

Nowon buffet weekday dinner 31,900 won, galbi and baby tray: Kuu Kuu

Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch is an all-you-can-eat sushi and seafood buffet on the 6th floor at 247 Nowon-ro, Nowon-gu, Seoul, and the spot where the writer's family held their baby's first-birthday party. On a weekday dinner (31,900 won for adults), the writer came back with her mother and baby and found the seafood fresher and the plate clearing faster than before, plus galbi (grilled short ribs) so tender the meat slid off the bone. High chairs and baby trays are ready at Kuu Kuu Nowon, but you need to bring your own baby spoon, and the only letdown was flat soda.
