Park Jun Beauty Lab Gangnam Branch (박준뷰티랩 강남점) is a hair salon on the 2nd floor of a building on Gangnam-daero 110-gil, near Sinnonhyeon Station. I just got repair magic (a straightening treatment) here, and they repaired my hair so neatly and carefully that I left completely satisfied.

I went at lunchtime, so it was relatively quiet, but in the afternoon lots of customers with reservations started coming in. Booking through Naver comes with plenty of perks, so I recommend reserving ahead 😄

Hair wrecked by constant blow-drying: before the treatment

Wow... it's dry, frizzy and just plain dog-fur, haha. I blow-dry so often that my hair never gets a chance to be healthy. So I left my hair in my designer's hands at Park Jun Beauty Lab Gangnam Branch.

Same length, only the damage trimmed

The Ribbon repair magic setting perm started with a cut. They cut so carefully that my messy hair ended up neat and tidy. They kept my length and trimmed only the damaged parts, really skillfully 👍

What are the steps of repair magic at Park Jun Beauty Lab?

Repair magic here went in this order: Shiseido shampoo and pre-treatment → softening → C-curl and straightening → clinic mask → essence finish. After I washed my hair, they sprayed something on it, and this is the first salon that explains the whole repair magic process in detail beforehand while doing it.

• 2. Spray a Shiseido care-line pre-treatment mixed with a 7-natural-protein ampoule

👆 This is the product from step 2. They show you everything as they go, which put me so much at ease! At other salons they just use products on their own, so I never really knew what was being used.

A handwritten drink during softening, and lots of foreign guests

Wow~ while the softening treatment was going on, a drink was served. It's been so long since I saw such carefully handwritten notes, so I was touched all over again 😍

There were an unusual number of foreign customers at Park Jun Beauty Lab Gangnam Branch; word is the head spa is famous. While I was being treated, five foreigners came in. They can help in English, and some people were coming back for repeat visits. A Gangnam salon even foreigners trust: Park Jun Beauty Lab!! 👍

Softener left on for 10–15 minutes, then the C-curl first

Back to the repair magic process... after applying the softener thoroughly, they leave it on for about 10–15 minutes.

3. After I washed my hair, they applied product again, dried it, and made the C-curl first.

Even at this point my hair still looked like dog-fur, haha. But when you touch it, it's so soft. Amazing 😄

C-curl on the bottom, straightened sides

Since it's a repair magic setting perm, the lower part is rolled into a natural C-curl,

and the messy side hair is straightened neatly. This took quite a long time. They had to take very small sections and press firmly with the flat iron, so they really worked hard for me.

4. During neutralizing, they also do a clinic treatment with the Shiseido Special Care Mask.

5. When drying my hair, they applied Shiseido Pre-care Essence too, and that completes a natural repair magic that doesn't damage the hair.

How to blow-dry at home after a repair magic setting perm

My designer said that if you dry your hair only to about 90% and then blow-dry the ends while rolling them around, you get really natural, pretty curls. Thank you to my designer for explaining the aftercare in such detail.
